Loss mainly due to stockholding loss.... But we may see substantial Stockholding Gains (increasing prices)for the next few quarters.....Hopefully just like 2017 !!!

HRC is no more just an ordinary refining where earning is depend on the refining margin.
It is now a big Hedging fund player for China owner with Billion in USD outstanding Swap contracts.
With outstanding assets hundred of millions above outstanding Liabilities.

So do you still want to invest in this hedge fund? The risk one wrong move will cause the lenders to forclosed HRC.

HY made huge investment to upgrade their plants back in 2019 for low sulfur products - IMO2020 regulation. Back then the economics were fantastic because oil price forecast for 2020 was at 70-80$/bbl and above 100$/bbl from 2022 onwards. Low sulfur products were very very expensive in 2019. At the current oil price, that investment is far from breakeven. Moving forward we wont see oil price reaches 80$/bbl until post 2028!

We look future qtr ..look Brent Crude price.
Brent Crude price up..HY price up ..not QTR lost of history report.

Brent USD 41.38 ..it was a roller coaster ride which price plunging to USD 40.71 ..
but the bull of Brent oil made a come back..
Now charging up at USD 41.61....will it rise further...

Will HY reach RM 4.00 again today .
