Hengyuan now is better than other o n g company ,because that only focus on the refining . The profit depends on crack spread, when the crude oil price decrease ,the cost will decrease and increase the crack spread profit but demand will decrease and the sale of volume also decrease. When the crude oil price increase, crack spread will be narrow but the demand will increase, demand increase and the sales of volume will increase , so overall increase the profit.

Be patient .now all selling just for chasing the counters related with health care like gloves counter. Waiting volume coming. Hengyuan is a best company with good management team.

Happy_lucky, thanks for explaining crack spread. In addition,I would like to add that there is another factor affecting the profitability of an oil refinery such as Hengyuan, Petronm and Hibiscus for a particular quarter ie Stockholding Gain or Loss. This factor has been clearly explained by Bursa Master in this forum dated 22 Feb 2020.

A refinery will GAIN if the crude oil stored in the storage while waiting to be refined, increases in price. Conversely, it will LOSE if the oil price drops during the period. This explains why Petronm
suffers hugh losses while Hibiscus has greatly reduced profits for 1Q 2020.Unfortunately, Hengyuan will also most likely report an unfavourable 1Q 2020 result ???

Note that Brent crude oil price was abt USD 60.00 on 1 Jan 2020 and abt USD25.00 on 31 Mac 2020 (Falling prices)

If this factor is correct, then we should see very very good results for the next few quarters ???? Increasing Prices !!! Just imagine from a low of USD 19.00 to USD30, USD40 ….. and perhaps USD80.00.....
for the next few quarters..

You're right. But normally they will stock the inventory about 18-30days and they use the FIFO technique which is first in first out. When price suddenly falling down will make it loss of crack spread cause the inventory loss, but after they clear all the highly cost of crude oil and start to enjoy the high profit of crack spread. Hibiscus is upstream o n g company so the volatile of oil price will highly effect their profit. When oil price suddenly falling sure make them huge loss because the cost operation is higher than sales's price. Petronm suffer huge loss due to the volatile of crude oil price cause the crack spread become lower( 1), demand down decrease the sales (2). loss of marketing business due to mco and the worker need salary no matter business is good or bad (3). Other expenses increase (4).
Petronm is refining and marketing company sure will suffer huge impact rather than hengyuan but hengyuan only focus in refining and supply to shell and other company .Just my opinion, sorry and thank you.

Personally i don't worry short term sales impact to HY or Petronm due to lockdown
i'm concern travel habit of public might changed in upcoming 1 to 2 year.

i was resume work and traffic are much less crowded.
My company decided to allow worker work from home even if government didn't extend CMCO after 9th June.

Company and personal habit did changed a lot after this pandemic.
