KUALA LUMPUR (March 31): Boustead Plantations Bhd vice chairman Tan Sri Lodin Wok Kamaruddin said 2016 is "a better year" for the plantation group, with higher crude palm oil price, which it projected to hover around RM3,000 per tonne by the third quarter of this year.

Last year, net CPO price averaged at RM2,148 oer tonne, according to Boustead Plantations' annual report for the fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2015 (FY15).

The group is also ruminating to dispose of more non-core land bank, as part of its efforts to consolidate its land bank over the past few years, Lodin said.

CPO going to trend higher especially typoon season in China around July. Typoon at Indian usually peak around May. Planters, manufacturer, OnG and etc at southern are always stay in high risk.

Ivan2222,Cd expireds on 31st march .The exercise price is 1.8 ,ration is 2:1 and jtiasa's price on 31st March is only 1.5.It's completely out of money hence you get zero value.In future pls check the exercise price,ratio,expirey date and mother's potential before you buy.Sorry for your loss,considered school fees paid.

your jtiasa-cd is worth zero now since the exercise value is 1.80. 800000 unit at 0.03 means your RM24K is gone and burnt. Dont play warrant if you not sure on how to play it.

Pm akan merasmikan lebuhraya pan borneo pada 23 Apr 2016 di papar, SAbah. Lebuhraya ini melintasi negeei sarawak dan sabah dan tanah-tanah milik jtiasa di Sibu dan Miei. Tan sri Tiong tidak dan syarikat Jtiasa tidak mungkin diam aja sudah tentu menolak harga saham terdekat ini sebagai menyokong dan membodek pm. Memang pun jtiasa takkan dilupan pelabur dlm persmian kali ini. Smlm sindikit makan byk pada harga rm1.52peringkat bepeeingkatan dgn jumlah yang besar, setiap kali makan 500,000 unit atau 500ota tidak kurang 10kali.

Currently all roads connecting JTIASA and TAANN are already build,
so PAN BORNEO is just to widen current 2-land-2-way to 4-land 2-way..

[no new route is built in Sibu]

Only Kuching Sematan 33km-new-PB-roads which is TOTALLY UNRELATED to JTIASA.

So can you explain what benefit JTIASA will get?

In addition, current route (roads) has little traffic congestion, why is there necessary to widen it and label it "PAN BORNEO"?

The Pan Borneo Highway is a federal road that links Sarawak to Sabah, through Brunei. Construction began in 1932, when Sabah and Sarawak joined the federation of Malaysia. Today I met a 77 Year Old Oil Palm Plantation Owner.

These are the facts.

Young Palm Oil trees if well taken care of will fruit by 3 years old. But FFB will increase more & more by 4 to 5 years old.

The most fertile years are between 8 to 10 years old.

By age 15 more fertilizer is needed to support FFB production.

Oil Palm trees can last as long a 25 years old. But since they have grown so tall by then it is hard for harvesting.

So best is cut down & replant the trees by age 23 to 24.

Now there are 2 seasons for FFB. Usually Between January to June there is less FFB. But from July to December there is abundant harvest.

Fertilizer must be applied 4 times a year - about 3 months once to keep trees tip top.

Now he expects from July to December to have abundant FFB (Fresh Fruit Bunches)

Will Hot El Nino destroy Oil Palm trees like they destroy padi and maize?

According to him, "NO". In all his experience Oil Palm trees can survive hot weather though FFB production might be redeuced.

Prices of FFB according to his experience

It ranges from Rm300 a tonne to Rm1,000 a tonne.

So current CPO prices can Go As High as Rm4,000 a tonne or even more.

Since experts have called this current El Nino as "THE GODZILLA OR MONSTER EL NINO" you can even expect CPO prices to reach Rm6,000 a tonne.

If SO all predictions are out!

PRICES WILL SKYROCKET LIKE CRAZY.
