YTL is already in the lowest region (RM0.65 - RM0.66). For the long term investment, you may consider it. Reasons: (i) It is now 44% lower than the Target Price, NTA = RM1.17. (ii) The YTL is actively conducting Share Buy Back (SBB), YTL will give back the treasure share to us (1 to 30 ratio) on August 2021 (After the end of MCO). The share price predicted as RM0.8. You may consider it as Divident = 4.6% with current share price RM0.655.

YTL does not do deals with the Syndicate and operators, it will rise purely on merit and real business but have to be patient. Covid cases will have sudden drop in developing countries as mass vaccinations going on. Travel and Leisure will open up soon. Buy now and check at the middle of the year. You will be glad. i divest after all the analysts has downgraded its target price months before with very valid reasons...i think the main factor that drags YTL is still its hotel n property. Yes, Cement n others will do well... but its hospitality portfolio is huge n bleeding badly. The problem is the future prospect of hotel is gloomy. Yes we already have vaccine. But... it takes time for all the countries borders to open up.... Hi Beluga, The link you posted is true as an overall for the hospitality business. However companies with a very strong balance sheets will thrive as they would not have shuttered their operations unlike many others including their competitors. With well to do consumers still having the means to travel, which they will once borders open and quarantines are no longer required, especially vaccine passports, like Thailand has just said today, if you are inoculated, you are welcome at the 3rd quarter, which is the summer in Europe and most are expected to be vaccinated. Malaysia and the neighbouring countries will do the same. The travellers then will opt for high end hospitality as they would be the ones who can afford the costly flight tickets. I would expect a counter like YTL to really pick up by mid year.

Agreed with Newbie3977. YTL is on another level, their cash flow and cash reserve are nothing to worry about.

Other competitors, many have that worry, causing them to shut down slowly/sell their assets at a low price. However, for YTL, that's not the case as they still got other businesses - Cement, Utilities which are doing well.

Utilities around 50%, Cement around 20%, Construction around 15%. These 3 profit-making sectors are already totaled to 85%. The other 15% are the loss-making ones such as hotels, properties, management service etc.

Many people don't do their calculation properly, hence the selldown .
