Operator dumping ??? Volume won't be this low. Think prior to 1st March. Price spike up to 2.72 and big volume transacted at last 15 minutes. Total 383,975,900 lots with YTL and YTLP top the most active list on Bursa Malaysia 29 Feb. This is what we called active not the current volume

Rebalancing of MSCI index list on 1st March { addition of YTL and YTLP} contributed to the spike in trading volume. For YTL the daily average trading volume of transacted trades between 35 - 40 million is quite normal based on the number of shares issued or in short Nosh. Anything below is considered low

Many pm me asking for my comment.
Here it is:
1. The previous descending triangle with the base at 2.15 broke out to the upside a day after it announced its QR. 95% of the a descending triangle results in a breakdown below its base. But in this case it broke to the upside of the triangle.

2. There is a consolidation triangle formed since 10 days ago. Price has broken down off this triangle at 2.64 two days ago. Triangle base was on 27feb at 2.51 => 2.71 = 20 cents. It will in its way down 20 cents below 2.64 to 2.44.

Ding dong ding dong but going lower.

Well, I'm down to my last 1,000 shares of YTL...with 7 partial sales in '24 ranging from 2.20 to 2.54. March is my 'Month of the Phoenix' which was what YTL was for me in '23, rising from way below my cost of 79c to way above...this month, there are 3 Phoenixes for me:
1. Tobishima, bought in '18 & averaged down in '23 for ¥1,599 & which shot up 6.3% to ¥1,650 Friday.
2. General Electric, bought in '17 for $158.23 equivalent, paying out 18% of my capital in the form of GE Healthcare & WABTech spin-offs & which soared as high as $175.81 and
3. Jaya Tiasa, bought in '14 & averaged down to $1.42 in '23, soaring this week up to $1.46 after paying many dividends in the interim!

Just for the record. UBS has not cash out. They are still one of YTL substantial foreign funds share holders holding app 628, 213,898 share units @ 5.73 % in YTL group after disposing off 3.5 million shares on 5 March. For funds manager there are 4 categories or types of investment tied to the investment. Investment tied to capital growth, investment tied to dividend, investment for trading and last but not the least IPO shares or rights. UBS locked in thier profit for the coming qtr result { ending 31 March 24} nothing special or exceptional as the entry price is betw 1.70 - 2.10. As a investment fund manager managing multiple accounts we do know what exactly is their targeted mandates. Just do your own research and your own risk vs rewards ratio.

UBS sold 57.8 million shares on 29/2/2024, the volume was very high.
However, the candle on 29/2/2024 is still green.
It means other funds are buying while UBS was selling.

It seems that investors in YTL Power, especially govt institutions such as KWAP & KWSP, are not bothered about being complicit in Israel's genocide & ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians. We must really question why, especially since many Israeli businesses are being boycotted worldwide. Do they want to wait until it happens to YTL Power before they do the right thing. It will be too late then.

YTL's cooperation with NVDIA could represent a grave danger to Malaysia. The Malaysian govt & Malaysian investors must understand this. NVIDIA's development of Israeli super computer & AI capabilities represents a security threat to Malaysia especially. TNB should be aware of this & review YTL's involvement in electricity generation for TNB. KWAP & KWSP should also take note before the situation gets completely out of hand. Divest from YTL while you can.
