as predicted ...MyHSR Corp Sdn Bhd via its press releases indicated that it has appointed the Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd – Gamuda Bhd consortium (MRCB Gamuda Consortium) and Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd – TH Properties Sdn Bhd consortium (YTL-THP) as its project delivery partners (PDP) for the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) civil works portion. Although no disclosure was made on the PDP fee, we believe that it should be at around 6%, similar to the PDP fee for the earlier MRT projects. Civil works for the project is believed to be valued as high as RM40bn. We understand that the MRCB-Gamuda Consortium has been selected for the northern portion of the alignment, while YTL-THP has been selected for the southern portion and the contracts will be awarded upon the conclusion of negotiations between MyHSR Corp and the PDPs. Assuming the MRCB-Gamuda Consortium gets 50% of the total works with 6% PDP fees, we estimate that Gamuda’s PBT profit to be c.RM1.2bn. Pending more clarification, earnings estimates are kept unchanged for now. Maintain Outperform with an unchanged RM6.20 TP. We still like Gamuda and expect earnings to pick up from FY18 onwards and to continue benefitting from the large infrastructure projects that are being rolled out over the next 2-3 years.

Staff offer very common in US. looks like dilution but can never effect sp immediately since staff can only sell after several year. Still a smart way to raise fund for company as it also boost morale. Most big US companies did that. I see no problem, fully support this move. But if staff sendiri no confident on the company, then expect a bad sell down after 3y.

Tats why ytl set the term for 3 years, as 3 years from now ytl ady completed the 4 hotels, cement sector shd recover, hsr project started, ytlp project in jordan and indon start operation...

Much better to raise fund compare to right issue.

why you guys complicate the ESOS so much? The 3 years of ESOS is pretty standard to retain employee with the company, if they serve 1 year they can sell of 1 year worth of shares, 2 years then 2 years worth of shares, and when they hit 3 years they will have the full rights to all the shares and sell them if they want to.

l3ryan some doesn't work that way. If the shares issued to you, with 3y maturity, you left company after 2y working, you left with nothing. Means they can take back the shares given to you since you left b4 maturity. Very smart way to keep talent. They might award staff with shares also. I foresee Yeoh family is planning to move out from family power. May be Francis don't trust his children. But the move is great for long term shareholders. At the end of the day, that person who work hardest and care most of the company will have most shares and take over the company and that person might not be part of Yeoh's family member. Kinda break away from the Chinese 3rd gen curse.
