AirAsia apologises for 'Get off in Thailand' advert
AirAsia has apologised after its advertising campaign was labelled "harmful" in Australia. The advert containing the phrase "Get off in Thailand" was posted around the city of Brisbane to promote the airline's direct route to Bangkok. Collective Shout, a grassroots campaign movement against the objectification of women claimed that the advert was promoting sex tourism in Thailand. Thailand has over 123,530 sex workers, according to a 2014 UNAids report. Melinda Liszewski, a campaigner at Collective Shout spotted the adverts on a Brisbane bus and posted the image to social media.
She accused the airline of "promoting sex tourism."
PH_Better, you must learn to look at various numbers to have a comprehensive overview of AA, no point in just looking at its PE and making assumptions, look at more numbers together to paint a better picture
Bullballs is back for this quarter. The last round was injured here. Expecting a good qaurter as what the CEO said. This round should make it back. Charge and up, up, up!
Nothing great about MIDF's TP, if you have been following them, they are one of the only research houses in Malaysia and ASIA who is extremely bullish on all counters.
OK. Bullballs has picked up one load. All the best guys. Dont worry about people making noise here. Just stay focus and the results will speak for itself when the time come.
No worries man, just had to point out the obvious. Was pretty shocked that a guy like you who used to be "adding" facts to AA by trying to show how good is AA yet you couldn't even discover a simple info by skimming thru Bursa's site to check for AA's AGM.
Clearly shows that the salesman on this site only know how to sell and behave like empty vessels without having any substance.
Anyway, have a great day man, heading off for our External FM's meeting. Cheers
Khaz. Tony already know more or less the results of Q1 at the press of a button. It is up to ppl to believe or not. Many ppl are just plain envious of Tony.

KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — AirAsia is offering promotional all-in-fares from RM99 to Quanzhou in Fujian, China, in conjunction with the launch of the new daily direct route from Kuala Lumpur commencing on May 1, 2019.
In a statement today, the low-cost carrier said that the promotion is only for AirAsia member fares for one-way travel inclusive of taxes. AirAsia Malaysia chief executive officer Riad Asmat said the Kuala Lumpur-Quanzhou service further grows its footprint of unique destinations in China and provides greater accessibility to Malaysian and Chinese travellers.
“AirAsia has been championing connectivity to China’s secondary cities such as Guilin, Shantou and Nanning. As we continue to expand in China, we look forward to exploring opportunities to connect our other secondary hubs in Malaysia to China as well,” he said.
Increase of leasing cost - reduction of depreciation - reduction of maintenance and overhaul- reduction of finance cost = Increase of Qtr leasing cost after selling aircrafts.
BANGKOK, April 1 — Thai AirAsia will be flying from Phuket to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from June 1, marking the airline’s ninth international route out of the island.
Chief executive officer, Santisuk Klongchaiya said the four-times weekly direct flight was part of the airline’s establishment of a network across Asia and the steadily growing Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) market—a major source of tourism for Thailand.
He said Thai AirAsia plans to build a strong network of destinations, providing ever greater convenience for travellers, who no longer need to stopover in Bangkok.
“Phuket is a very important strategic flight base for AirAsia that has grown steadily along with the addition of direct flights to CLMV cities such as Siem Reap.
Castlelake leasing RM338 million per year : finance expense savings on bank borrowings of RM87.5 million per annum as well as annual savings in depreciation expenses for owned aircraft 2 of RM196.8 million.
so what mean @betkaukau? they will incur higher leasing expenses but will also save from aircraft maintenance? cost savings > leasing expenses increase? or the other way round?
Total leasing expenses is very low and it should be less than RM50 million per qtr. AA loss or profit mainly depend on fuel expenses whereby +/- RM200 million.
