China is not even opening up after three months. They just cancel most flight only allow one weekly flight per airline at 75% load. And the movie theater reopen for a few days and yesterday they shutdown it all down again.

This disruption to business that require people being in close proximity may well last more than six months.

Can AA cash reserve survive 6 month of low to no business?

Singapore airline also can’t withstand this current covid associated economic crisis.

Cash reserve of AA had been given out to all shareholders as dividends. Of course, as AA CEO, TF received the lion shares.

You, Smart investor, should know if AA can or can’t go through such crisis.

Check what is the revenue from air traffic for airasia.
If airport remain close for 2 months, can Airasia survive?
What about 4 months? Six months?

Airasia is privately owned. When company make money, all money go to shareholders pocket.
If company go bankrupt, do you think Govt should bail it out?

Just stop flying 1-2month. Will AA go bankrupt ? I dont think so. If AA bankrupt, KLIA2 also tutup and many airport in every state will oldso die. Malaysia Airport Holdong will also go bankrup. do you think gov will allow that to happen?
Nak pakai MAS. ? Khazanah already loss billions bailout MAS for the past 10 years , wasting money.

AA may loss revenue but they also save fuel cost for the period.. No point flying without passenger but spending on fuel. so grounding all planes will save a lot of money than flying..

Aiyah...you know what...SIA n SATS.. catering, baggage, n pax building are like ghost town...all staffs go for stay home unpaid leave...especially Malaysian who are travelling from JB because of lockdown...no compromise from both governance... that's why extreme measures required. Singapore n PR above 62 compulsory 3 months unpaid, plus all staff take turn upaid leave...of course cannot retrench...they need those manpower...later on... don't know how long also...waiting...!!!

We don't know how bad aviation industries...but very, very bad indeed...unforseen...Only cargoes aircrafts are n some chartered pax flight with zero pax...only cargo are flying out those backlogs of cargos to Shanghai, Hong Kong, Manila, Bangkok, Vietnam. Jakarta, EU n US cities. These are not daily flights...Cargo complex still with skeleton staffs...working sometimes like hell...n times relax...!!!

Bad time for airline biz. Worldwide transport are mostly grounded except for cargo for essential items. Low crude oil will helps in reducing the fuel cost.

But majority(90%) of the company's income comes from seat sales and ancillary income.

So you can get some idea of what to expect in the next 2 quarters report.
