I sold the 5 lots I bought mistakenly @ 1.16 just before the coronacrash...told myself I refuse 2 lose & mid-morning yesterday, I threw 3 lots @ 1.24 & within minutes, aggressive buying pushed the bid/ask to 1.26/1.27 & I threw the other 2 lots @ 1.26...

Very relieved now!


Jerung memang jerung...Hongkies memang tricksters...but very USEFUL to release my trapped capital! One of the great trading miracles of 2021, right up there with selling my Nippon TV shares in Japan just 8 ticks away from the 3-year peak of ¥1,607 =D

Sensibly speaking, Covid-19 actually benefitted AA in a weird way.
They are on headlines move often now, for more of the right reasons (Free Marketing).
They saw it as a chance to stand out from the competition as Covid-19 has somehow levelled the playing field for the aviation industry.
The industry becomes more competitive, this benefits the consumer.
It benefits AA as they are playing into what the consumers want.

Fast forward to 2021, every airline stock in every market is in recovery mode. AA is by far the global airline industry's most undervalued share.

Simple, get in or get out.

Tony wish that AA has sugar daddy (government controlled fund or big fund as major shareholders) like many airlines do, to give him some breathing space. But unfortunately AA had none and Tony had to do his utmost (even selling his backside if that help) to get the fund in.

I think this the plan la. When may interstate ban lifted due to raya, AA go up to 1.3 - 1.5. Then, after every1 happy travel 2 weeks, interstate ban again in June due to increase of covid case. Then AA drop to 0.8 back. After that, 70% vaccine immunity done in September, AA price rise to "rm2, rm5, rm Idk". Good script?

Vaccination will take over 1 year as such air travel can only recover after 1 year (whether fully or not in next years is a million question). Further, for child less than 12 years how to travel as there is no vaccine. With so many uncertainties, investing in air asia is like gambling. No wander private placement can only get a donkey gambler at cheap price of 60 sen.

OldSix how does covid19 benefit AA when it is sandling with heavy debt unrelated to capex? this is actually the best time for new airline to startup with a clean slate, there are a lot of landing slot, experience staffs, idle planes available today, a new airline will start with big cost advantage over AA

Those who bought high should consider cut loss and wait for dust to settle first. Very likely can get a much lower price soon and right issue. I will only consider to buy at gambler price of 60sen and be prepared to buy right issue heavily....

顾客回不回得去疫前还不是最担心的。。最怕的是现在的营业模式再加上这期间的亏损，以后会累积成一笔天文数字的债务。。如果变成像油气公司那样即使航空业务开始恢复但债务利上加利，那就不知何年何月才能恢复盈利了。。。。

I feel those research firm Sell call since OCT 2020 last year, but the sell call price never meet, buy New height price keep on surging. Moral of the story, a lot of retail and institution investors stil look good on this counter. Why? Covid will not be FOREVER in our life. We still will FLY !

I guess the price will only drop to 0.88 - 0.90 the most, and rebound. At this price, more big foreign investors will come in. Just my personal thinking.
AA is a good company and if able to get through this period until domestic flight allowed, it will fly high.
But I don't want to gamble, I rather buy at 1.50 after the AA able to fly. At that time, 3.0 or even 4.0 is possible. No point to take risk now.
However, if the price really drop until 0.6, I may put down my bet again, like what I did previously at 0.7x.

The group (AirAsia), however, will not be classified as PN17, in line with the PN17 relief measures implemented by Bursa from April 17 this year (2020) until June 30, 2021, the budget airline said in an exchange filing today.

There are three criteria of PN17 which have been temporarily switched off by Bursa during the relief period, including a material uncertainty relating to going concern (MUGC) highlighted by the company's auditors.

Support level should be around 0.90 - 0.95 for the time being,depend on how fast is the vaccine injection in the worldwide. Full recovery take about another half year or 8 mths
