Very important to understand the industry AA is in and its business model in order to make an estimate on the valuation of AA as a running concern going forward. Some understanding of accounting and finance are necessary as well to give you a better picture of AA business situation. Don't just take the face value of AA being a negative equity company as I have already mentioned there are great well known companies that similarly have negative equity. One more thing: the two well known investors that have recently taken interest in AA are not fools!

AA is facing huge amount of problems and issues that are very challenging and many of them are not within its control. The worse is yet to come if covid-19 problem persists. Borders are closed; herd immunity is still far off, many people are delaying their travels esp. leisure holidays. When the burn rate is high, private placement, rights issue,... are only temporily stop-gap measures! Money from recent rights issue for SIA is almost gone!

Sslee. TQ for pointing out the risk of AA. You are pointed out facts here. Analyst did give credit to AA's online business valuing it at RM2B. As TF himself said, he projects online to contribute 50% of income by 2025. While there's potential, that's another 4 years away. And digital banking is still another year away. So, anyone who wanna buy AA needs to be patience and also make sure got money to subscribe to RI.
Today read in Sinchew daily about the infamous Datuk Seri and interesting links to MACAU. Many penny stocks have dropped more than 50% from high and i believe more to come as these companies are worth 0. Our IGP said many enforcers are involved. Not surprising right? How about our Securities Commission? Hmm. I predicted many new retail investors will suffer big losses and i believe they already are now. Will get worse. And there ain't anything anyone could do about it.

It's quite difficult to time the borders reopening with the number of Covid cases spiking in US and Europe. It's as good as gambling, it's 50-50.

But looking at the numbers of Covid cases rising in these continents, 2021 maybe another 2020.

Will AA be another Virgin Australia is the making?

all these ecommerce, delivery, e-hailing, digital banking business are lose making business. SEA Grab, Gojak are all unprofitable bsuiness. they are dropping billions in VC fund to kill each other for market share. AA are desperate to reduce burn rate, they cannot compete in this market.

so actually minimum negative = - 37 - 39 = - 76 sen

NTA = - 76 sen or more is the real scenario

Since last year, AA had gone thru this jittery b4 at 0.6+, 0.7+, 0.9+ range. A few days later eventually still helping me to made money. So be relax and cool.
And if indeed still turn south, set your own cut loss point. Remember, we can always reenter at different price point and make money later wt AA. No need to listen to doom & gloom ppl here. Recovery is still coming for sure, just a matter of time

Air Asia is now in the business to sell shares only

the core business is broken
and new business is just for selling more shares to youngsters and poker players.

AirAsia Group expects to secure RM1 billion (S$324.7 million) in loans from three Malaysian banks, pending approval from local regulators, group chief executive Tony Fernandes said in a report by The Edge Malaysia.
"What I'm confirming by the way is that banks have approved part of the RM1 billion but Danajamin hasn't approved," Mr Fernandes was quoted as saying in an interview with The Edge, referring to the government's financial guarantee insurer.
Mr Fernandes said they are also considering a loan offer from the Thai government via its Exim Bank, besides raising up to RM1 billion through rights issues.
