Delay maybe but Bursa still need to keep CapA listed somehow as it just cannot afford to loose a company with market cap of more than RM4.5B ( share plus loanstock combined)

AirAsia X said yesterday that Malaysia's stock exchange had told the budget airline that it is no longer classified as financially distressed lifting the threat of being de-listed.

Both AirAsiaX and its parent company Capital A saw deep losses following a plunge in demand due to the pandemic and have scrambled to raise funds.

Next Wang to be out of PN17 will be Mabel Air Asia. Capital A today is up by 5% following her PN17 Sister Sapnrg which is also up by 11%

This is what Warren Buffett said about airline business: Demand for capital is insatiable.

The airline industry's demand for capital ever since that first flight has been insatiable. Investors have poured money into a bottomless pit, attracted by growth when they should have been repelled by it.

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 22):
Shares in low-cost carrier group Capital A Bhd and AirAsia X Bhd (AAX) were actively traded on Wednesday morning,
as AAX’s exit from its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status hinted at a possible separate, publicly-quoted aviation group that would be formed under Capital A's PN17 exit strategy.

The listed issuer status had been a stumbling block for any corporate exercise between both entities.

Our Magician Fernandes had said the investment holding group, which is involved in aviation, logistics, lifestyle and financial services ventures, planned to submit its finalised regularisation plan to Bursa Malaysia as early as February.

“We can be out of PN17 status, definitely this year, and I hope much earlier than that. All of the consultants are now going through all the work,” he had said at an event in January this year.

Meanwhile, Maybank Investment Bank (Maybank IB) research has reaffirmed a "buy" call on AAX with a lower target price of RM3.40 (previously RM3.56).

So did Stony submitted any finalised regularisation plan to Bursa Malaysia as early as February?

And how to “We can be out of PN17 status, definitely this year" when the PN17 regularisation plan has been postpone for the third time from Jan 2023 to July 2023 to Oct 2023 and now to 31th Dec 2023?

Haha my dear handsome sslee..

Despite the current shortcoming which is work in progress, Mabel still thinks Tony is a real Magician beside visionary and a turnaround expert, who transformed a failing airline into a successful and profitable business. Thank God Mabel put one of her bets on Tony Fernandez. Here’s why Mabel thinks he is Magician..

He bought AirAsia from a Malaysian government-owned company for a token sum of RM 1 in 2001 and inherited a debt of RM 40 million.

He introduced a “EVERY WANG CAN FLY” no-frills, low-fare business model that appealed to the mass market and stimulated demand for air travel in the region.

He expanded AirAsia’s network to cover more than 150 destinations across 25 countries and established joint ventures and partnerships with other airlines and governments.

He diversified AirAsia’s revenue streams by launching digital businesses such as food and parcel delivery, ride-hailing, e-commerce, and fintech.

He led AirAsia’s recovery and transformation amid the Covid-19 pandemic, by reducing costs, securing funding, and rebranding the group as Capital A.

Before the Pandemic, all shareholders were celebrating as shareholders of AirAsia have been showered with 90 sen per share special dividend, which is worth more than RM3bil in total payout. The dividend is equivalent to 34% of dividend yield from the last traded price of AirAsia's shares at RM 2 The year before he showered us with 64 sen Dividends and 12 sens even before that. Mabel recall EVERY WANG here were FLYING that time..

Just like SIA, CapitalA AirAsia was also paralysed by the pandemic without any revenue. However, unlike SIA with Big Brother Temasek cumming to the rescue, CapitalA took many initiatives to revive and stay afloat without any help from the Malaysian Government. Now you know why Mabel salute Air Asia.

Lastly, Mabel’s AirAsia enjoys continued success being named the World's Best Low-Cost Airline in 2023 for 14X, with Mabel’s Singapore's Scoot taking the top title as the World’s Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline.

Yes Stony overcharged AAX, JV partners: AA Phillipine, AA Thailand, AA Indonesia, AA Japan and AA India (profit transfer from JV to capA) to pay dividend to capA shareholders mostly to himself.

Stony is now trying to do the same profit transfer from CapA aviation to Capital A International shall be made up of Brand AA Sdn Bhd and Fleet Consolidated Pte Ltd
Both Brand AA and Fleet Consolidated are newly formed subsidiaries and do not have any revenue.

Brand AA is a brand management company. It is the registered proprietor for all the rights under the AirAsia brand.
Under a master brand licensing agreement dated May 31 this year, Brand AA has the right to collect royalty fees from AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd, Capital A’s aviation division.

Fleet Consolidated, meanwhile, will primarily be responsible for the procurement and delivery of the requisite aircraft for the aviation group based on the agreed allocation plan.

By the way what is debt of RM 40 million in 2001 compare to what Stony facing now?

As at 30/6/2023 Capital A
Current assets: RM 2,269,900,000
Current liabilities: RM 14,208,631,000
Net current liabilities: RM (11,938,731,000)
Shareholders’ equity RM (8,390,820,000)
Non-controlling interest: RM (1,813,867,000)
Total equity: RM (10,204,687,000)

Capital A’s aviation is still lose making
Revenue/ASK: Q2 USD 4.22 cents cumulative 6 months USD 4.28 cents
Cost/ASK: Q2 USD 5.01 cents cumulative 6 months USD 4.72 cents
Cost/ASK ex fuel: Q2 USD 3.32 cents cumulative 6 months USD 2.95 cents

SEPANG, 17 November 2022 –
For the upcoming festive period, AirAsia will be adding extra low fare and red eye flights from Kuala Lumpur and other main hubs to various destinations across Malaysia and beyond, enabling more people to be reunited with their loved ones at this important time.

AirAsia has been steadily increasing its flight frequencies and resuming routes as the airline bounces back from a two-year long hiatus to cater for significant pent up demand. This year alone, AirAsia has reintroduced flights to everyone’s favourite domestic and international destinations such as India, Cambodia, Vietnam and many more and the airline has also been gradually increasing its flight capacity to cater to rising demand. However, the recovery path has been a challenging one for AirAsia as most airlines are faced with the global shortage in maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility slots to get all its aircraft back into service.

Riad Asmat,
CEO of AirAsia Malaysia said: “As the people’s airline we will always champion the best value fares which is more important than ever right now. The festive season is one of our busiest periods and our goal is to enable everyone to be able to fly home to be reunited with their families during this special time. Therefore, we’ve decided to add extra flights to and from our most popular destinations, enabling everyone to ‘balik kampung’ affordably.

“Undoubtedly, these last few years have been tremendously hard for everyone and even as travel is now fast rebounding this year, AirAsia has not been able to put out as many extra flights as we’d like simply because of the ripple effect of the pandemic. We are still constrained by limited planes as our fleet is undergoing mandatory maintenance checks after two years of hibernation and the limited availability of MRO hangars would mean that these checks are taking longer-than-usual. We are doing all we can to support our valued guests and we are so thankful to be bringing back all of our flight crew who were on furlough due to no fault of their own, and we are also now hiring additional cabin crew to support this V-shaped recovery.

“It’s incredibly heartwarming to know that as our operations slowly start to resume normalcy, we are able to cater to the rising demand and connect more people to the amazing places in Malaysia and across Asia - and most importantly, to be able to bring them back with their loved ones in time for the festivities. While we’re still constrained by the restart of the global air travel revival, our guests can rest assured that from next month and leading up to Chinese New Year and Hari Raya, we will be adding as many flights as possible for our core domestic and international routes, helping to ensure everyone can fly back home in time to celebrate. Taking into account the working folks’ busy schedule, we will factor in a number of red-eye flights for the same low price so that there are plenty of choices for everyone. Stay tuned for our upcoming promos and deals on these extra flights!”
