President Obama's aerial targets are against ISIL military personnel/military assets. ISIL had responded by saying that "It will raise the flag of Allah in the White House"

ISIL group's intention is to eliminate all modern borders between Islamic Middle Eastern countries. Currently ISIL had gained control of parts of Syria and Iraq. This is just the beginning.

If ISIL continue to grow in strength and gain further popular support, there will be more tensions, turmoil in the Middle East countries as it is very focused in its objective of eliminating all modern borders between Islamic Middle Eastern countries.

President Obama said airstrikes are on the table, but yesterday Secretary of State John Kerry said Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki must pursue a unified government and lessen the Shia influence before U.S. airstrikes would be ordered.

But now Syria has beaten the U.S. to the punch raising the question whether a U.S. airstrike in northern Iraq means the U.S. is supporting Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria.

Airstrikes had already begun U.S. warplanes and US drones carry out a second round of strikes on Sunni Islamic extremists in Iraq, as ISIS fighters are reported to be close to Irbil.

Expect more escalation of tensions in Middle East as ISIS has its own mindset and focused goal to overthrow all current ME regimes and to create an Islamic State in the whole Arabian land.
