KPS will despatch notice of EGM by these week to seek shareholder approval to sell its 56% stake in KHSB for 86sen. Once approval, KPS must complete disposal before the due date on 26 July. Once complete, KPS will within 3 month payout special dividend toshareholder and i expecting the announcement of special dividend of 26.6sen will be announce in Aug, ex-date in Sept and payment date in Oct.

there is always a next time in securities market, no need to feel hurt. there r still plenty of opportunities around like redtone, mmode, adventa, hevea etc etc. for kps itself just look at the history chart, never a steady trend, bet u will find another opportunity soon, u r right being careful rather than careless

buy small and slow, PR has a long way to go... good luck! :)

Just buy and hold till special dividend of 26.6sen is declare, while still able enjoying its final dividend of 2 sen, ex on 16 July. Total cash dividend of 28.6sen is worth of investing and expecting more to come if water restructuring can be seal by end of these year

KPS is asset rich company, after disposal of its stake in KHSB, other pending for sell assets are water concession, Golf course redevelopment,Spirit highway etc. Most importantly, KPS unlike other, its willing to share its gain from assets disposal with minority shareholder through special dividend payout

Bear in mind, according to SPA, KPS must divest KHSB within 3 month from the date of signing on 26 April. Thus, the last date for completion is o 26 July. The Notice of EGM must call 3 week before EGM to seek shareholder approval. Therefore investor no need to wait very long from now.

Selangor water-related stocks up

KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor water-related counters rose in active trade on Wednesday on news reports the Federal Government agreed to Selangor acquiring all four water concessionaires in the state.

At 9.12am, KHSB was up one sen to 79.5 sen and it was the most active with 2.90 million shares done. KPS rose nine sen to RM1.57 while Puncak Niaga gained 10 sen to RM2.01.

The FBM KLCI rose 0.7 of a point to 1,772.59. Turnover was 45.25 million shares done valued at RM53.99mil. Gainers beat losers 117 to 79 while 119 counters were unchanged.

The news reports stated Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said he has received a letter from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak agreeing to the deal.

"Selangor is all set to bring the supply of water under its control before the end of the year," Abdul Khalid was quoted saying.
While he did not disclose figures or terms of the agreement, the Pakatan government, since came into power in 2008, has been clamouring for water to come under the control of the state.
