Sime has big plan for Perodua to be listed as well as grow big in EV sector which will hit the road soon. MBMR will benefit no matter which direction it goes.

EPF sell cheap buy high haha, people still believe EPF is a good reference for investing in bursa. if cannot have own judgement / opinion and be convinced that all decisions made by yourself is the best choice / odds, then better stop invest in bursa. no any other source is more reliable than own correct way of thinking

I feel is a EPF big trader..it seems to be buying and selling shares at the same time...in huge amounts..in many counters...It is not just an investor but a traders as well... This can be a challenge for small time traders..

EPF has many sub-contractors, they operate independently.
With so many subcontractors, its very normal for one to buy and another to sell

EPF is giving away people's hard earned money via commission to these sub - CONs.

RM0.26 dividend ex-date. It begins with an adjusted price of RM3.88. It is supposed to cover the gap of 26 sen by going up. Instead, it went down another 8 sen.

Malaysia car industry is moving on the non revivable path of NOKIA. “Laughed and brushed off by international car manufacturing circles, then only realized and trying to catch up by having another national car Perodua, ending up NOKIA-ed."

@James_Bond disagree, perodua is not competing with any international brand. perodua is budget car for majority citizens (b40), international car market is for m40 or t20.

the most direct competition for perodua is only proton, which is losing by far

cannot compare car with phone, even b40 can afford the most expensive iphone if they want, but definitely not the most expensive car

Ask yourself, if you hv cheaper options (Geely, BYD) or even Tesla (expecting Tesla to hv price reduction to compete with BYD), would you buy Perodua? Answer is NO! NO! NO! Perodua will end up like NOKIA! Those who shouting buy most likely unsure of the entry level price tag for Geely, BYD or Tesla! Goodness! No wonder you lose big in stock market. Pity you indeed!

@James_Bond low entry level price tag for Geely, BYD or Tesla? you certainly forgot about taxes for foreign car brand lol

without tax, toyota, honda all those price can be comparable to perodua / proton

Posted by DividendGuy67 > 2023-09-12 00:54 | Report Abuse

Don't argue, make money. I sold at 4.10, and bought back at 3.73. Make my own dividend of 37 sen. Can't complain.

@James_Bond what do you mean? I don't study and not interested with BEV. do you mean gov won't tax foreign BEV?

if gov still tax, or after a certain period of exemption will

unless gov FOREVER don't tax foreign BEV, otherwise local car / BEV sure got price advantage over foreign brands

I don't think it is possible that the gov will do such crazy thing not protecting local car brand like perodua. just like itnot possible someday they won't protect real locals against not so real locals citizens anymore

OMG! OMG! OMG! Malaysia government want foreign direct investment to boost Malaysia economy! PM opened a way for Tesla to sell Tesla car in Malaysia without the need for AP! Should there be any other high tech company wanna invest in Malaysia, PM welcoming this, same method as Tesla, no need AP! Good technique to flood the local market with high tech smart car without irritating those people holding AP! This also benefiting the Rakyat to be able to enjoy the branded high tech green vehicles at lower cost! It is the fight between BYD (affordable) vs Tesla (premium), unfortunately NOT PERODUA! Cheers! Wise move PM!

MBMR is low tech without any innovation company… worthless to invest in… wasting time and energy… like a kura2 hiding under the so called “AP protection”… once protection removed, that’s it, Nokia-ed!

When you drive Tesla/BYD car out, ppl would say WOW, the strength of the BRAND, and the OOMPH, the spirit! However, the other way if you drive PERODUA, the feeling like “oh PERODUA, nothing special, NO OOMPH”!

MBMR wan to compete with
— technology: Tesla is the best
— cost effectiveness: BYD is the best

Both also not able to compete with international car players…

Only could continue hiding in the umbrella of protection! Frankly speaking, this protection need to be reviewed and removed in order to invite international high tech players to invest in Malaysia! Else Malaysia will be losing out to Thailand/ Indonesia…
