So son now at .515 + ex price 1.21 = 1.725. Mom at 1.77. Arbitrage profit of 0.045. (if acquire RM50,006.50 worth of son at .515. Exercise immediately at 1.21, giving the total cost of acquiring mom at 1.725 * 97,100 = RM167,497.50. Whilst Market best buy price at 1.77. The seller would have make a profit of RM4,369.5 ((1.77 *97,100 = RM171,867) - RM167,497.50) by immediate selling back to the market after conversion. Just curious why is there nobody take the free money? @@

@THW5594, interesting observation ! Why no one is doing it ? Because you can't "lock in" the so obvious arbitrage prices ! I don't know why else other than if it is too good to be true, it ain't true ? The market is not static, maybe by the time you are sufficiently lured in to bet it big (say add a few zeros to your buy, the market price of YTLP might mysteriously move downwards and might even collapse ! Just a reminder, a lot a shit-load lot of these YTL-WB holders got it at 10 sens only in June 2008 ! Our EPF not so bodoh lah, they are very smart people running our pension fund !

Based on current treasury share just 1.15%, share buyback will at least keep on for next 2 month in order to accumulate back another 3.5% stake in treasury stock. Already seen some one converting its WB though at very small volume to enjoy not only arbitrary gap of 4sen now, but also further upside in mum share.

EPF is major shareholder of YTLcorp, which should also entitle previous offer for sale of WB at 20sen under 1: 15 ratio. Therefore, EPF also is warrant holder of YTLP-WB now. However, i'm not sure whether EPF regulation can hold warrant in portfolio, if not, it will already disposed off it already

Don't rush, as mention many time here, YTP wan to accumulate as much share but at lowest cost possible. If seller subside. then it opt to move by sen by sen. Steady and consistent, uptrend continue.

As all my capital and margin almost all in on YTL-WB already (more than 90% in total), today bought at 51.5en is using trading limit. can't absorb anymore, have to sell back within contra period. But will happy if can reap few more k within these contra period.

my confidence come from EPF continue throwing for more than months and yet has no sign of stopping share price upward.

i agree with penang. epf selling price still move up. if epf done sellin, will the share fly? ytlp hold 53% of own shares while epf hold 7%. will there be a significance changes if ytlp manage to get all the 7%. I'm really have shallow knowledge on this.

I think the most EPF selling will until it reach 5%, to retain as second largest shareholder in YTLP. Which mean EPF have cut its stake from 50% down from 9.9% to 5%. Therefore, maximum still have 1.81% remaining to be cut down from current 6.81 to 5%, which will only take YTLP to engulf these 1.81% in less than 2 month time now.
