Price swing is cause by someone wanted to collect more by keying in big sell order to frighten small players to sell.

The revenue of Lihen has been growing and growing and growing for 15 years without a single down year. Surely that tells you some thing about the quality of the management.
Lihen is a furniture maker. Furniture makers have goodwill, have expertise, have loyal clients, have premium and pricing power (if good)
Focus is plywood. Plywood is a commodity. Every third world country goes into plywood when first industrialize. After 1 or 2 good years, a plywood factory is still the same factory as before facing the same limiting factors as before...ie supply of logs and labor and world price for the commodity.

It depends on how much value is added on plywood. Can do more research on Focus & Hevea. They don't produce ordinary plywood.

Malaysia is recognised as one of the largest furniture exporters in the world exceeding $10 billion a year....and Lihen is the largest of them all.
Fair to have some exposures.

Plywood factories are everywhere in the developing in the world. Every banana republic has its own plywood factory. Its a very low tech commodity product.

If read carefully on the quarterly reports of Lii Hen & Poh Huat, both of them are very similar in terms of revenue & generosity in paying out dividends.

Profitability wise, Lii Hen is a bit of upper hand, but don't forget on the fire incident on Poh Huat.

All in all, I like both.

Lii Hen next quarterly result will be announced in May while Poh Huat in June.

Hope both will do well by looking at the furniture sales report in USA recently.
