Folks, over the last twelve months, AIZO Group Berhad's revenue grew by 2.7%. That's not great considering the company is losing money. In contrast, the share price took off during the year, gaining 190%.

It's good to see that AIZO Group Berhad has rewarded shareholders with a total shareholder return of 190% in the last twelve months.

Since the one-year TSR is better than the five-year TSR (the latter coming in at 11% per year), it would seem that the stock's performance has improved in recent times.

Someone with an optimistic perspective could view the recent improvement in TSR as indicating that the business itself is getting better with time.

Folks, it's now an open secret that Azio is the new hidden GEM in KLSE. The business will need a lot more growth to justify that increase. As such have patience when we investing a business through the stock market as "Patience Can Produce Uncommon Profits."

AIZO is aiming to be a full stack financial technology solutions provider in Malaysia, through their wholly owned subsidiary Techmile Resources Sdn Bhd (TRSB),

TRSB will be tailor-made to become a financial technology company that provides electronic payment system solutions such as alternative delivery channels to banks and financial institutions via secured electronic platforms for both micro and cross-border payments.

TRSB’s recent acquisition of Uniqa, meanwhile is aimed to transform TRSB into a full-stacked financial technology solutions provider in Malaysia which would allow it to provide financial technology support to clients and partners who offer remittance services to the Asian markets such as India, Bangladesh, Nepal, the Philippines, which are the top destinations for remittance from Malaysia.

For the record, Uniqa is an approved system provider under BNM section 40 of the Money Service Business Act with clients using its financial technology solutions needing BNM license approvals. Approval license from BNM for remittance payment services projected approval in 4Q24.

Uniqa currently has two local banks using its remittance system and is also working closely with its local partner bank to establish partnerships with a number of overseas banks in Indonesia, China, and the Philippines, as well as countries in the Middle East and Europe.

KUCHING (Oct 23): The water reservoirs at Bakun, Murum, and in the near future, Baleh, will provide huge areas for floating solar installations, said Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He said this huge potential of solar resources can be used to pump water and subsequently utilised to generate power during unavailability of the sunlight, thereby providing additional and sustainable energy for Sarawak.

“The reservoir for the hydropower provides potentially suitable sites for floating solar, which can be used with PHES (pumped hydro energy storage), thereby increasing further renewable energy generation from water resources,” he said.

SOLAR POWER PLANT - AIZO✅

Coral Power Sdn Bhd (“CPSB”) was acquired by AIZO Group Berhad (Formerly known as Minetech Resources Berhad) in 2017 as the Special Purpose Company for power generation business activities. AIZO in line with the Eleventh Malaysia Plan, 2016-2020 towards sustainable growth, recognises the potential and importance of renewable energy, has identified solar power as a viable and reliable source of renewable energy.

AIZO is determined to play a part among many other private corporations in supporting the strategies outlined by the Government of Malaysia, in particularly on pursuing green growth for sustainability and resilience through programs implemented by the Energy Commission (“EC”) and the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) of Malaysia.
One of the first floating solar systems in Malaysia utilising flotation devices on a pond (i.e. floating solar power plant).

For locality factor, CPSB has identified a 75-acre of decommissioned mining pond at Pantai Remis, Perak as the proposed floating LSSPV project site. The decommissioned mining pond is neighbouring the Segari gas power plant. CPSB has subsequently been awarded the 9.99Mwac project directly by the EC in 2018. This LSSPV is CPSB’s first foray into the power sector while it continues to identify other business opportunities in renewable energy.

SARAWAK is planning the construction of a mega electricity supply route that will see the Trans Borneo Power Grid supply electricity to Sabah and Kalimantan.

The overland power grid system will light up the entire Borneo Island, with Sarawak selling electricity to Kalimantan and Sabah from the numerous hydro-power dams such as the gigantic RM15 billion Bakun Dam in central Sarawak.

Sarawak is also planning the construction of a submarine cable across the South China Sea to supply electricity to Singapore and the peninsular Malaysia states.

Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg highlighted these ambitious power project plans when attending an international energy event in Singapore over the past two days.

The Sarawak government-owned State Public Communications Unit, in its latest media updates, said the Premier also said Sarawak is looking into being a source of electricity for Asean countries too.

"Sarawak has abundant renewable energy sources from the numerous hydro dams in the state.

"Sarawak is also working closely with Indonesia for power supply projects through the Trans Borneo Grid to link to Nusantara (new Indonesian capital) and other Kalimantan provinces as well as connect to Sabah.

"Sarawak is working with TNB (Tenaga Nasional Bhd) and the Singapore Government on the subsea power cable to deliver electricity to Singapore and the peninsular states in west Malaysia.

"Sarawak will eventually connect its electricity sources to all Asean countries through an Asean Grid," the Unit quoted Johari as saying at the Singapore event.

The Trans Borneo Power Grid will be another multi-billion project that will follow closely with the Trans Borneo Railway proposed project.

That railway plan is to link Sarawak-Sabah-Kalimantan to provide railway routes to facilitate more efficient movement of people and cargo en-masse throughout Borneo Island.

Indonesia is already relocating its national capital from Jakarta to Nusantara which is about 200 km away from southern Sarawak. - October 23, 2024
