Top picks. For the big cap space, we favour SKPETRO (OP; TP: RM3.03) for its improved risk-to-reward dynamics post the significant share price decline and PETGAS (MP; TP: RM22.14) should be a core-holding for portfolio-benchmarking purposes albeit it is fairly valued for now, given its sustainable earnings that are derived from concession assets. Within the small-&-mid cap space, we see value emerging for BARAKAH (OP; TP: RM1.34) again given the attractive CY15 PER of 4.7x (a significant discount to other peers which trade at 6-8x CY15 PER).
Barakah: Sets its sights on Kepodang gas field. Barakah Offshore Petroleum is confident of securing a pipelaying job from the Kepodang natural gas field to Tambak Lorok in Central Java in Indonesia, stretching some 200km in length. The integrated solutions provider’s CEO Syed Abdul Rahim Syed Jaafar said he is cautiously optimistic of obtaining the job by 1Q15. The project will take some two to three years for completion from the date of procurement. (Source: The Malaysian Reserve)
sarifahselinder Icon888, how can u buy Barakah? ?? How can u buy O&G counters? ? When u r busy promoting counters that will benefit from low oil price!!!
U main ular dua kepala ka?? 07/01/2015 13:40 ----------------
Sarifahselinder I am absolutely shocked by your lack of common sense !
In stock market, it is well known that one has to be contrarian. While export oriented stocks are doing well, never get complacent. The general principle in investing is that when everybody is bullish and in a euphoria (as is the case for export stocks now), always turn around and look to check whether there is a tiger at your back ready to pounce on you
Oil has dropped to USD50. I might not know the bottom, but my guess is that it can't be too far from it
So is it really that contradictory for me too look at Barakah ?
Btw, please don't call me a two headed snake, because that really made me hissed (pissed) (pun intended)
Actually I also think those heboh heboh about benefiting from low oil price low RM r jz theme play... isn't it???!!! Low oil price n RM not likely to last for ever not even till year end so benefit pun sekejap je.... Not sustainable to give me long term joy and satisfaction....
Anyway I understood u main front n back... I like n take position macam tu too... seronok betul kalau can time it right dan techniques smooth... aaahhhhh
Oh....finally I faham why I thought u masuk dari front masuk dari back... ada sikit apa tu... It is because u heboh heboh beli counters benefiting from low oil price low RM.. but quite quite u eying barakah pula..
But i understood what u r doing... I suka juga masuk dari front masuk dari back... ahhhhh
Oil price should go up slowly. More and more North America oil company shutting down and cutting work force. That is what OPEC want. Most reasonable oil price should be $70.00.
He added the development expenditure remains at RM48.5bil while the operating expenditure was cut by RM5.5bil.
Najib said the government would also increase dividend payments from the government linked companies (GLCs) and government investment linked companies (GLICs).
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
