PETALING JAYA: Interstate travel nationwide will resume starting Monday (Oct 11), says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The Prime Minister said this during a special address at 3pm on Sunday (Oct 10).

"With the achievement of almost 90% of the population being fully vaccinated, therefore I would like to announce that interstate travel will be allowed. This will begin on Monday (Oct 11).
“Interstate travel is only allowed for those who are fully vaccinated.
“The lifting of the prohibition on interstate travel does not apply for visits to localities placed under enhanced movement control order," he added.
Ismail Sabri also said fully vaccinated Malaysians can travel abroad without MyTravelPass effective Monday (Oct 11)...

He just summarize the quarter report. Positive on Langsat expansion. Overall he said dialog should be able to maintain or better the revenue of last QR, due to strong recurring income. Profit wise is very dependent on expenses control, which may be affected due to tighter covid control.

Many ppl puzzle why dialog keep dropping for past 1 yr.

because after big big drop dialog then can only break new high again in the nex few mths.

dialog it will need drop big to move higher because:

1. Malaysia reopen ..dialog biz back to normal.
2. Pengerang biz can proceed .
3. Oil price improving
4. Will be involve in Hydrogen energy support by petronas in future. Only a few company can do that now . Petronas is pumping big money in developing hydrogen energy. O N G counter with hydrogen energy involvement is a gem with Fund.

Since listed on 1997. Dialog rebounded 7x on mthly chart from oversold . Every time it will break new high after reversal.
This 8th time mthly rebound aiming 4.50 in few mths time.
Tempted to all in.

In order to maintain in FBM KLCI 30, dialog must have market around RM20b (Safe position), otherwise have a big chance will kick out from FBMKLCi30. Therefore my personal opinion, dialog share will continue raise to 3.50/3.60 before end of November. :)

Hi sifus, I am here to learn. How is high crude oil prices good for dialog ? They are in the oil storage business. The more demand then higher need for such services. If prices are too high then demand could be limited.

Crude oil price high or low doesn't really impact their mid-stream business, their capacity usually fully occupied and on take or pay basis or long term contracts. Only minority is based on spot rate.

That being said, high crude oil price benefit their upstream and downstream business. For the upstream business, higher crude oil price higher profit, in 2019, upstream business contributes around 20% of their earning.

For their downstream business, higher crude oil price, more positive industry outlook, players more willing to expand/spend, more CAPEX, more contract for Dialog. That being said, although no break down in Annual Report, a considerable part of Dialog's downstream business is maintenance based.

Oil & Gas ‘Makmur Tax’ may negatively impact Petronas Dagangan’s FY22F core EPS forecast by 10.7%; no or little impact on Velesto, Bumi Armada, Yinson, Sapura Energy, or Dialog

Petronas Dagangan (PDB) may be negatively affected by the ‘Makmur Tax’, as we forecast group pretax losses excluding associates at RM893m for FY22F. Virtually all of the group pretax losses are housed under the one single holding company, rather than split up across several subsidiaries. As a result, we estimate that the ‘Prosperity Tax’ may reduce PDB’s FY22F core net profit by up to RM71m (7 sen/share), or 10.7% of our current core net profit forecast of RM668m. The negative impact to our DDM-based target price is also c.7 sen/share, which is immaterial against our current target price of RM19.90.

Velesto is unlikely to be affected by the ‘Makmur Tax’, as we forecast group pretax profits for FY22F to be below the RM100m threshold for the application of the aforementioned tax. In any case, each of its jack-up rigs are housed in separate legal entities, and the RM100m threshold is to be measured on per-legal entity basis.

Bumi Armada is unlikely to be affected by the ‘Makmur Tax’, as its floating production storage and offload (FPSO) vessels are all based outside of Malaysia. Most of Yinson’s FPSOs are also based outside of Malaysia, with the exception of the FPSO Helang; we estimate that the FPSO Helang does not earn more than the RM100m threshold for the tax to apply.

Sapura Energy is unlikely to be affected by the ‘Makmur Tax’, as most of its work is outside Malaysia. For its Malaysian business, it may be able to use its carriedforward tax losses to offset any potential taxable profits, in our view.

Dialog is unlikely to be affected by the ‘Prosperity Tax’, in our view, despite our forecast of group pretax profits of RM726m in FY6/22F (RM446m from subsidiaries and RM281m from associates). This is because we expect the individual companies to either generate less than RM100m in pretax profits in the 2022 year of assessment, or for the individual companies to enjoy significant unutilised capital allowances and investment tax allowances that can be used to almost-fully offset taxable profits.
