Dont look too much on DJI. DJI was around 29000 prior to Covid and now still stand at 31k++. While KLSE was around 1600 prior to Covid and now at 1460++. DJI is meant to correct. Other markets has either corrected or back to pre Covid price. Just see Hang Seng, China, Germany, UK markets. Only DJI still above the pre Covid time as US has printed so much money and almost to 0% interest rate.

Carry trades is when foreign funds come from us or europe using us dollars to buy malaysia shares n now got to dump malaysia shares to go bak..

Becareful Pastor, maybe the market is telling us a recession follow by depression are coming on the way. Better keep some cash rather than keep average down. Imagine what the price like if it did happen.

The key thing to look is the US Fed rate as it would affect the bond and treasury yield. When DJI up from 22k to 36k , KLSE was at the opposite trend down from 1850 to 1600. Malaysia market has depeg from DJI for quite some years. Foreign funds has exited Malaysia market for several years. Not only now.

I have been in the stock market for quite some times.

I have never seen any plantation stock gone bust or delisted.

TSH is fundamentally solid and strong, some more with its directors' support.

We may not know how far lower it can go but there will bargain hunting along the way. So should not be panicked or shaken in fear.

For those who have power may hold ; for those who have extra funds may add.

But my advice is that don't ever use margin financing to buy shares as one could suffer heavy financial losses due to forced selling.

Just my opinion.

I saw only 74 lots done @1.13 n 550 lot IDSS avg 1.18 . The RSS remain constant @ 2 million shares for d last 2 weeks ,hopefully will reduce in d coming days suggesting maybe bottoming up. The last one hr buying could be genuine maybe someone here come in with big truck!

I do not think the debt level will impact the decision to sell spot or forward. United Plantations lost RM182.089M in futures contracts although the company does not have any debt. However, they have a note in the financial report to assuage investors.

"The high hedging loss was because of the significant increase in CPO prices since entering into the earlier BMD commodity futures sales. Upon buying back of the earlier entered BMD commodity futures sales there are immediate losses, however, these hedging losses had been and will continue to be reversed in the coming quarters through significantly higher contributions upon delivery of finished goods based on earlier purchased CPO at lower prices as part of the raw material hedge."

after debt pared down by assets sale Tsh will be debt free like innoplant of which it owns 21.95%

innoplant no need forward sale as it is debt free so it sells spots for highest price

as for Rm53 millions profit from Sabah land disposal it is only in part for May 2022 results

total sum was only collected in May 2022 and the rest of the profit about 3.9 sen will be reported by Aug 2022 results

P/E now a very low of 4.5 which is undemanding

Anyone who follows Calvin knows his investment style can be 1-5 years holding. Mid-to-long gestation periods, big hits.

If you follow someone and you don't know his investment style and you lose money, who is really to blame? Like it or not, Calvin (mostly) talk FACTS. Who knows if in 1-2 years whether Calvin's strategy is ultimately correct or not, and TSH holders are rewarded? Would you bet your life on it NOT happening?

All life is based on probability. At least Calvin has an opinion back uped by some facts, not based just on feelings.

Stop blaming Calvin and start taking some responsibility for our own decisions. Does his opinion make sense? Does his investment horizon and asset allocation match yours? Investing is not a exact science, in that one strategy that is good for me may not be good for you. This applies to stocks,women and life.
