European markets close week higher; chip makers best performers
Market focus is largely attuned to global trade developments, as sentiment improved on a report that more progress has been made in talks between the world’s two largest economies.
Well mkt is fwd looking and US and europe chipmakers shares are going up despite their not so good results as they expect US-china trade deal.. Kesm is impacted by trade war btw trump and china , so its customer become very cautious and order on demand rather than keeping an inventory... Once a trade deal is reach btw donald duck and Xi jinping, customers may more aggresive In inventory restocking , earnings may jump up again..anyway, kesm is trading close to its asset value..of around $8++ Its a chance to buy cheap if u believe by Q4 2019 or beyond, the profit will back to boom time..and semiconductor will be needed in all new cars and autonoumous vehicle...is the future.. Even its parent sunright is very cheap now...those with spare cash can shop now when prices are at peanuts level... For some, this drop is what we hope for ..so can buy cheap... :>
KWAP is trading the KESM share. Short term Up or down of the share price largely depend on the business strategy of the KWAP on this KESM share. Hopefully they are positive on this share.
SAN FRANCISCO: Chip stocks surged to a record high after comments from Micron Technology Inc. further boosted investors’ confidence that the worst of a profit-draining downturn in semiconductor demand is over.
micron : "worst of a profit-draining downturn in semiconductor demand is over"... this is a very positive signal as usually micron is very conservative in outlook..
That's because most investor has ikan bilis mentality. They buy high, sell low. To make money, you have to be contrarian and have patient. Follow the herd is one way ticket to holland.

Nothing to worry about if u are long term investor... cimb is short term investor ie they are talking about 2nd half of year period lol .. By then if trade war over.. they will upgrade all counter.
The company has $189 million in cash... that's translates to about ~RM 4.70 per share.. so if the company just use some of that cash pile to do share buy back... they share wouldnt be at this low..
CIMB Research keeps Reduce call, RM7 TP for KESM on April 4-2019...Anymore down grading calls by Research Houses after this? Hope more downgrading will surface so we can buy at bargain basement prices....and just wait for the turn-around.
Nxt agm anyone attend shld just ask the sg ceo ....are they going to buyback shares? They have $189 mil...cash Can use some of that cashpile to slowly buyback 10% of total share.. only wld cost them~ $33 mil...imao ..
today penta run up to rm 4.1 one of its highest level.. and the rest just follow suit...up.. penta is the best in the world, while the rest is 2nd or 3rd which also go up but slower
