The loss was due to one off tax expense RM5.3m + RM2.3m tax penalty ( i.e. increase in other operating expense). Top line still good, GP% still ok, higher opex for software due to higher admin expense - double of last year - most probably as they are expanding the staff force/office space. Good news is the SKIN is on.

PresBhd made loss in this quarter because it paid RM5.3mil additional tax from 2013-2016 assessment and RM2.3mil penalty to Inland Revenue Board (IRB). Otherwise, it is a green quarter for PresBhd.

We can also see "Concession" income which generated from SKIN project in July-Sept'18 period. This means the infrastructure construction of SKIN is on-going.

In "Prospect" column, the management hinted that :
"With all current projects in hand, the Group is expected to perform better in financial year 2018".

There is only one quarter, i.e. Q4, left for FY2018. This means we should see good earnings in coming Q4 if the management is trustworthy.

The tax rate so high in this quarter because that arises from the difference in interpretation under the MSC qualifying activities in 2013-2016 assessment. In short, PresBhd has to pay more tax due to the mistake happened in years 2013-2016 assessment. This is an one-off issue.

This 2quarter the revenue was increase but profit....why?haha...SKIN is otw la lagi ada apa.the expanding office,staff,administration cost and etc all come..2 unusual movement from previous before SKIN project is revenue and operating expenses nvr so HIGH!!that mean??hehe

this company earn profits through projects on hand, its not entirely same with company that selling products where we couldn't expect demand of the product. As far as we are concerned, you completed more progress you recognised more revenue hence profits. Of coz, those who only look into now can sell anytime he wishes.

@zerocool7199 - i agreed with you. Everyday also got companies declared either loss or gain.. So it is really small potato. Maybe tomorrow morning drop then afternoon rebounce. Then 2 days later there will be another new MOU or JV

Today qtr report out and MOU expired. The Management knew the price will be down after release of qtr report but still release the MOU. So maybe there will be better announcement waiting to be release

Its way overpriced at current valuation of 1.7x P/B. Fair value at P/B 0.7x as PRESBHD has the worst performance among ICT company, translating to 0.23. STRONG SELL !!!
