Prestariang had filed its suit through its unit Prestariang SKIN Sdn Bhd. The amount sought was based on the contractual formula provided for in the concession agreement (CA).

Prestariang decided to file the suit as the two sides were unable to reach an agreement on the quantum to be paid by the government after engaging in a few rounds of negotiation.

This is the prime issue and settlement via compensation anounting $733 mil to presbhd or others option deemed acceptable to presbhd... Having the upperhand on the nego table.

The award was based on Public Private Initiative Model which is good for the gov at the time. When change of Gov suddenly not good? why not deliberating it thoroughly before deciding to cancel it...? that was the key question for those involved during cancellation.
