Sunway Bhd to invest RM1b in five new hospitals

Additionally, Sunway Bhd plans to invest RM1 billion in its healthcare services segment by building five new hospitals within the next five years with two hospitals in Sunway Penang and one each in Sunway Velocity Cheras, Sunway Damansara and Sunway Ipoh.

It also plans to increase the total number of beds in Sunway Medical Centre Sunway City to 618 (+65.7% year-on-year) by the end of the 2017 financial year (FY17) and up to 1,000 beds over the next two-and-a-half years.

The unbilled property sales of RM1.2 billion and a record-high construction order book of RM6.5 billion (including the recently secured light rail transit [LRT] Line 3 package for RM2.17 billion) will likely underpin our projected core earnings per share (EPS) growth 22% in FY18.

At the estimated current FY18 PER of 13 times, Sunway Bhd is trading at a discount to construction-property conglomerate peers Gamuda Bhd, IJM Corp Bhd, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd and WCT Holdings Bhd (PER range of 13-20 times).

to be honest quite disappointing, bought in before bonus and dividend and I believe strongly in sunway that it could perform well. nvr expected could be this bad. more volume lower prices attracts more goreng kaki and more volatile.

近年来，双威（SUNWAY）在业绩上大放异彩，不止国内知名，在国际上也是声名鹊起，许多外国人对“SUNWAY”这个品牌皆有听闻，我还曾经被外国朋友询问这到底是人名还是地名呢！

随着零面值的来临，双威集团是其中一家利用股东溢价户口，大量派发红股以奖励股东。

公司在9月27日完成了3送4红股，进一步扩大股额。与此同时，公司也送出免费凭单，比例是10送3，让小1股东感激涕零。

不过，或许很多投资者还不知道，这个凭单带来了新的创意。

一直以来，许多价值投资者对凭单敬而远之，原因是当凭单一上市，它的生命就开始倒数。

通常凭单是以溢价交易，因此投资者快快将它卖掉，以免一不留神，岁月飞逝，到将要届满的时候，可能已经无人问津，卖不出了。

不但如此，凭单不享有股息，同时格式趋向投机，不为注重价值者所喜。

如果有个方法推陈出新，凭单也可以享有股息，那么，它能够引起投资者的兴趣吗？

双威在除权前是4.40令吉，除权后合理价是1.89令吉，这个双威凭单B（SUNWAY-WB），期限是7年，转换价是1.86令吉，是属于比较公平的定价。

因此，当它上市后，经过两次涨停板，如今在70仙，约是35%溢价左右交易，属于正常。

减少投机成分

但是，这个凭单有个特别的条款，即其转换价每年会向下调整7仙。这即是说，一年后，转换价将调低至1.79令吉，然后每年再调低，到第7年的1.44令吉。

懂得变通的投资者，可以把它理解成每年派7仙股息，不过由于凭单不得享有股息，因此，公司巧妙的把它用调低转换价的方式资本化。

这中变通的方式，可能改变一些投资者对凭单的看法，继而决定持有它更长一段时间。

如果根据往年的惯例，双威派了红股以后，业绩继续扩充，股价在几年以后会循序上升，反观凭单转换价却逐年下降，让其凭单更加“到价”。

投资者或股东愿意持有凭单，无形间也减低其投机的成分。构思这个凭单的人，不管是投资银行顾问或董事部，都值得一个“赞”。

2018 budget should be a boost for Malaysia Economy, especially infrastructure. Hope that the announcement will give a good jack-up for Sunway. At the meantime just stay put and wait till the seller done with their selling.

@mamakspecial somewhat agree with your view.It has been the trend that after the bonus issue (which has the diluting effect on the EPS) the price support will trend lower and needs to consolidate for quite sometimes.Similar thing happened to GKent,PMeta,Pestech,Mieco and the rest.
2.After ex-bonus the stock price has been trending downtrend.
3.It can be seen in the Technical Price Charts -MA,MACD,RSI,stochastic which show the bearishness for the stock price.
4.The next QR will be announced somewhere 25 Nov.

Outcome: Expects the down trend to continue for awhile and consolidate within a narrow range +-3 cents.Any positive corporate news from Sunway will be supportive of the stock price.

There are 3 recent example i will share here. MAGNI..poor quarter result...drop from 7 to 6 plus ish..then bounced back to almost 7 now. Hiaptek..poor quarter result drop from 0.43 to 0.345 then bounced back in like 2-3 weeks to now ard .0385..LCTITAN..stop work order and high raw material due to hurricane in US..drop to ard 5 ..now bounced back a bit...

the point i am making is..as long as not going bankrupt..it will bounced back..but we dont know how low...

the advantage of sunway compare to the other 3 i just mentioned is that...this is considered a blue chip stock in msia..and..epf also has holdings...

Possible rebound and break 2.00 in few years time ? Sorry I’m newbie here and will hold this stock for a long time
