Nikmon: Ya, I am talking about the waiver for Q4, which might still be a few months away, but I am sure discussions have started. UOBKH only say they feel the possibility of waiver is very low, but I just find it suspicious that they are suddenly so pessimistic. Of course it is just my own suspicion.

legend0105: Short term pain vs long term pain for PNB. Sapura has some very good assets like their SK408 gas field and their Brazil joint venture. Should be able to generate good returns once they solve this debt issue. PNB has brought in professionals to manage the company, but no matter how genius they are, the legacy issue is still there.

Even Barak which got legal case against petronas and PN17 status still better than Sapura with so much asset...and far from bankruptcy..

If can get at 0.045, I'm in. So much debt, issues and all. But at this price, can treat like a structured warrant and just risk it with a small buy. Without having to think about expiry date as with a SW. Sure, there's always the possibility of it going even lower. But I'm going to just let the future decide.

UOB report is outdated. SK3000 pipelaying vessel has been sold. The report said not yet. Kasawari will never go to Sapura. Only MMHE. People who understands O&G will understand why.
Anyway, i am buyer today at 0.05 - 0.06. QR will be out by month end. I expect improve performance.
Yes, Sapura expanded too aggressively during Tan Sri tenure. The current CEO will be more prudent and conservative. Don't you see the old management team has been replaced gradually?
While the short term outlook is not positive, 0.05-0.06 in my opinion is ridiculous for the biggest O&G player in Malaysia.
People are willing to value Chef Karim SD restaurant more than Sapura? That's illogical

Mokhzani Mahathir is probably the one of the biggest winners with the most `ong' or `tuah'. The older participants at i3investor would remember when his Kencana Petroleum merged with Sapura to create SKPetro.

If I remember correctly, the reference price was around 2.20 or so. It (the share price) didn't do too well initially. But then it started to pick up, especially with crude oil prices at the highest ever (more than US$100/barrel). It was often in the news, positively, with announcements of various new contracts. SKPetro became one of the favourite counters among investors and speculators, including foreigners, during that time.

Doesn't matter what one thinks of him but can't deny that Mokhzani is a savvy investor. He started to sell his shares when these were at very high levels. So much so that Shahril and the remaining significant shareholders no longer see why the company should still have "Kencana" in its name.

Don't know whether Mokhzani still has shares in Sapura Energy, directly or indirectly. But whatever, he got out when the going was VERY good. Took his (massive) profits and used it for something else. Can't begrudge him for his good fortune, particularly in his great timing.

Bankruptcy - I don't think so. Not with PNB being a major shareholder. More likely, it will undergo restructuring. Various parties, including its creditors, will be keen to try save it (and their investment). At the end of this, I believe Shahril will lose control. This will be a new entity, even if it still uses the same name.

Sad sad sad........ in early 2020 PNB been the largest shareholder, sent its CEO to Sapura to as NI & NE Director with the intention to turn around Sapura.....when Sapura was still traded at about 25c.....but short live....PH overthrown........ not only he got kicked out from Sap but also PNB...the rest is history.... today is only 5c.....

PH has destroy a lot of Malaysia core value. Now many thing is in trouble now not only company, organisation, business, project, debt, country assets and even political situation. Who would thought in one time Malaysia going to have 3 PM in just 3 years. Gile. We made a mistake in GE 14 and for me i blame it to Chinese as they are the core problem link to many thing including political problem we had now and also corruption (i.e the one giving corruption like Jho Low and many others but they are free). I hope they realize that at one time they actually destroying this country and everybody inside including themselves and their generation.

not sure if the mentioned saputa 3000 was sold, but last heard was it was in india with job and unfortunatelyaccisent happen to the crane.

is true,after pegaga and jerun, kawasari has never been the target to sapura energy as industry play it will be mhb to avoid conflict. it was delayed till now due to sarawak state involvement. but, since upstream online reported, why sapura never make any feedback regarding it.

lastly, look carefully at the report by uob last sentence which mentioning price was left with xxx xxx xxx.

not sure about staff salary not paid, as my friend still got paid at least but not as lucrative as before. vendor payment ring dong indeed is true
