Institution players purposely press down price. If u see the timing of the transactions, it all happened within minutes from 1.71 to 1.68 (and surprisingly there were big quantities waiting there to absorb the sales, so I suspect they play “left pocket, right pocket”, meaning pushing down price without effectively loosing their holdings. Intention was to force panic selling.
Holding power is very important... BP, is a div yield share with a yield of 7-8%.... so I do not expect price to fluctuate much... if u read their annual report, they intend to let go all their Seberang Perai land which have a market value of 10X of its cost.... of course finding buyer takes time.
lol to brianklc, my average buying price is RM1.563 and been hold this counter for 4 years already. This counter is for long-term investment and just for earning dividend.
for every 5 share u get 2 additional, meaning if now u hold 5, u get 7 ex-bonus... price will be lower of course... bonus yield per share will be lesser... but bonus yield per combo of "5 shares that become 7" will be same... hoped my layman explanation clear...
corrections on "but bonus yield per combo of "5 shares that become 7" will be same".... after thinking further, the reason of the management giving bonus issue rather thn dividend is to buy the sabah land to sustain future income... hence, factor in additional CPO income from sabah land, the bonus per share should be at least same or better, depending on CPO price... if Chinese envoy really serious in their commitment to buy Malaysia's Palm Oil, there should be positive trending in the long term...
Anyone able to tell why operating expenses for BP for Q417 is significantly higher thn Q317? Is it kitchen sinking to boost Q118? if anyone knows pls share...
Brianklc For someone who writes shit, I am doing alright travelling the world and staying in the best places, eating and drinking the best and with a very healthy & diversified profolio to my name. When you get there I might meet you in my travels. Don’t worry I shall pay for the dinner & drinks out of the dividends I earn. I don’t play margins, only dividend bearing shares long term. Shares like Berkeley Group, Rio Tinto, Johnson & Johnson as some of them. So best of luck with your copy cat articles which we as intelligent people in here , have read and digested before you.
just want to know how does this works about that bonus issue thing because I was bought many shares at last time. after bonus was issued the share price drop, I get nothing, my quantity of shares maintain the same and just keep trapped in there.
no la, u get more shares, more shares will be credited to u... Eg. every 5 shares u hold will become 7 shares post bonus... take RM1.70 as example, theoretical ex bonus price will be RM1.21... and ur CDS will be credited additional 2 shares post bonus issue...
this bonus issue thing was just a big nightmare for me, since start from last time, of course not bplant. This counter I was hold for more than 4 years already.
Brianklc When bonus is issued, the big boys will push it down to more like 1.02rm then they start buying back big over the next few weeks and make their gains. You know that Thus just hang on to them long term for dividends & price will recover slowly but surely.
bro thecontrarian, even if below 1.02, dangerous to sailang also.
cpo prices is going to be weak except the occasional weak spike until end of this yr, barring a total wipe-out of us and south american soybean growing.
BrianKlc Happy with dividends to date, dumped it at 1.694 Shall buy back after bonus issue, seen you then Good luck with your holding in Bplt Chucking it in Pchem & Lctitan Have a go bro
Jaya, so how much loss u incurred? i guess u bought at RM1.76. Minus dividend 4 sen, ur net cost is RM1.72, so fast surrender and turn ur paper loss to realised lost already?
