Revenue dropped marginally, profit reduced, inventories up, receivables surged, loans up .... no dividends. TP 0.30 as non transparency of receivables, believed some should be written off.

revenue drop 1 mil only, profit down 200k only, inventories up 4 mil only, receivables up 9 mil, loan up a mere 1 mil but reserves up 17 mil. not bad for a stock consider the price already down quite substantial.....really undervalue compare to most junks like asdion

disappointed with the quarter result for what is usually their strongest quarter. They purchased Pinko Creative for RM860k through internally generated funds. What does that mean? They gonna sell off some property to fund it, hence the reevaluation of properties?

860k only not relevant for a 400 over mil capital stock.maybe if 86 mil more relavant

The future looks bleak for SAS.

Quarter report ended 28.02.18 is out but it is way below expectation.

Inventories RM 69,784,000
Receivables RM 63,405,000
Loans RM 20,787,000
Negative cash flow RM -8,385,000

1. The high inventories show that SAS products are not fast-moving(selling). Last quarter the MD said that the inventories will improve because it was unexpected, but my question to him is: "Why is it still high this quarter, considering this has been traditionally your best quarter of the year?"

2. High receivables show SAS's weak collection, possibly due to stagnant product hence bookshops unable to pay. or it may be due to its premature MLM scheme.

3. High Loans of RM 20,787,000 VS Revenue demonstrated its weak cash flow management. Over expending could be one of its fatal weakness. FYI, the MD promised at least a M&A a year.

4. A high NEGATIVE cash flow of -RM 8,385,000 for quarter ended 28.02.18, illustrates point 3 above further. On 28.02.2017, the cash flow was RM1,071,000 surplus. To simply put, the cash flow for this year is RM 9,456,000 WORSE than 2017 Q2.

The upcoming quarter, Q3 and Q4 are traditionally the worst quarters for SAS. good luck guys

In addition, certain revenue relying on related ministry approval periodically. Tough challenges ahead. Nonetheless, low price may be good for speculative. Anyway, there are many stocks dropped substantially too.

The net revaluation surplus of RM8,981,000, after deducting deferred tax of RM2,836,000, has
been incorporated in the unaudited interim financial results of the Sasbadi Holdings Group for
the period ended 28 February 2018.

Net Gain from revaluation = RM6,145,000.
Latest QR Net profit RM4,933 ,000.

Excluding one off gain.

Is SASBADI still making profit??

just to remind that the 54m reserves is NOT cash , just an accounting term for retain earnings & revaluation surplus. (Assets = Equity (share capital/ reserves) + Liability)
Sasbadi only got 8.29 million cash

apolloang reserve got 54 mil u didn't mention?

at the end of 2nd Qtr, Sasbadi makes 2.24 sen per share. revenue for nxt 2 qtrs normally will be less, so may make only 1.12 sen , total 3.36 sen for whole year. at 37 sen only, PE of 11, looks ok. (rough guesstimate only)

I thought reserves should be reflected in NTA indirectly? Sorry if I misunderstand it. Without that reserves and high intangible assets as someone commented earlier, its assets per share should be lower. Anyway, price is relative low now and speculative play opportunities may arise.

18 Apr 2018
Sasbadi First Half Earnings Below Forecasts, Says CIMB Research

Sasbadi’s 1HFY18 revenue declined 4.1% on-year to RM56mil; net profit
also declined by the same percentage.

CIMB Research slashed its FY18F-20F EPS by 48.4%-54.9%, mainly to reflect lower
retail and MLM revenue forecasts as both sectors continue to face strong peer
competition and tight domestic consumer spending.

“We were earlier too optimistic about Sasbadi's MLM prospects and it now looks like
this division might take a longer time to see the exponential revenue growth we had
expected,” it said.

Yea, pity him. Had to answer all the tough questions during the AGM. If you are observant you would have noticed the CFO wasn't convinced of whatever he presented. Looked like he was just reading from script.

Not many peoplepeople can stand the stress. Finance going down and investors questioning...

Powerinvestor you seem to be a hot head aren't you? I did not even mention that you were wrong and I am aware about SAS' CFO.
Be less defensive and neutral and maybe we'll have a more meaningful conversation.
