According to Bernama, local media reported an almost 30 per cent shortage of fresh chickens in the market. This has caused an increase in the price for the poultry.

......The price of chicken at the retail level was reported to have risen to RM11 per kilogram since the start of Ramadan and is forecast to rise to RM11.50 in the near future.....

The feedback received from the egg wholesalers stated that the main factor behind this sudden drop is due to lack of eggs received from farm operators. It is due to the increasing demand for eggs during Ramadan and the farms prioritise their own local market first.”

跟CAB比了再比，看了再看，還是覺得龍合厲害和穩健！第二代龍合書讀得也比較好，雖然是農夫，但讀得書多還是能幹一些。

龍合前瞻本益比如果是五點五的話，還是很有價值的。

估計龍合買多，CAB買少，再補一點QL，完美！

Bought some.

1 year 500m chicks. Assume one chick earn RM1.00 more, then chicks alone rm500m.

Feed raw material actually down a lot already, but feedmill seems maintain feed selling price. The only problem is the fine. For me the fine is die for sure, its illegal to collude, but they can take it for sure.

I wanted to rear chicken so have been asking around, no DOC available for newcomer.

June free market will see another boom.

(Brain exercise only, don't be so serious) (Correct me if i am wrong)

Assume FCR of 1.7, live weight 2.2, feed cost RM2.4 per kilo.

So 1.7*2.4*2.2 = RM8.976 per chicken.

Plus 20% expenses, so roughly 10.77. Make it RM11 each.

Market price say RM11.5/kg, ayam bulat 2.2 *.8 = RM20.24. Make it RM20. (I heard price is still rising, here my place RM13.00 already)

So roughly RM9 per chicken.

Hot weather make cost higher though.

Feed make big money, DOC make big money, Broiler make big money. Plenty of meat.

If 4 cents eps quarterly, then 16 cents per annum, now priced at 4 times forward PE. 6 times PE good enough.

Luckily LHI mainly feed, parent stock DOC, broiler DOC, layer DOC, broiler. TeoSeng is mainly eggs though. But last QR was good enough.

Malaysia chicken price might be good. But don't forget LHI also has business in Vietnam, Indonesia. Is the chicken price in other country is good? Dont expect too much for the coming quaterly results. You might end up dissapointed.
