Personally I find it fantastic that substandard stocks are pumped up.
This means that those Gems and Jewels are still untouched at a very good value.

Super rich always encourage low level people to buy substandard stocks. Keeps them occupied.

This concept is called socio-biology. Its inbuilt into DNA to waste other people's time.
Socio-biology is a mechanism to pull people down, ie prevent people from bettering themselves.

=> Nothing is what it seems

The various degrees of happiness in stock trading :

1) Buy a particular stock. Stock goes up. Sell on contra. Make money. Be Happy

2) Buy a particular stock. Stock goes up. Pickup stock. Check news, company announcements, worldwide scenarion, FA and TA. Sell for profit when both FA and TA appear to be going downhill. Still (should be) happy

3) Buy a particularly good stock that has been listed for a good while (especially those not fond of corporate exercises involving new share issues or ESOS or rights; placements are fine if company is strong, gearing is below threshold and shareholdings are SUPER tight). Pick it up. Keep regardless of short term volatility (short term = 6 months, in my case, and with super respect to Bursa, its local, foreign and retail investors/traders). Share price goes up to the point where you’re breaking even on your cost of investment. Sell number of shares up to your cost to protect your capital. Own the remaining free shares

Of course, the above are my ways. Everyone’s situation is most definitely different and I fully understand that

But daily/constant promotion by certain folks by way of daily postings consisting of things that experienced and hardened investors/traders (that SOME respect) find annoying can result in NOBODY paying anymore attention to those certain purely “I bought and so I promote because I can here in i3 as long as I never mention Justion Bieber” folks

Tree knows. I requested him to keep his counsel in a particular thread where he had been pretty active (but ONLY when some substantial announcements were made) and that the stock price has been going up steadily. He said “ok” and was silent. There was a recent emergence of a new substantial shareholder over there, I gave my rather cautious opinion even though I own free shares, Tree more or less questioned my thinking/posting (hey, why give “negative” comments when already a shareholder, right?) and it is what it is now (consolidation mode)

I am still unconvinced by ANY solar companies listed in Bursa (except TNB). Sunview still has baby smooth skin. Hope it continues to attract genuine investors instead of……
