if you go check the 5 yr chart history of hsi,for the first of january effect you will discover something very interesting.
i m sticking wth my belief.

twobits ... if we are counting wave c with 5 waves, then there may be one more lapse .. and the possible directions are as per the blue arrows ... she will go back up to the congested yellow area which also coincides with daily dynamic 20ma (currently at 22115) ... this entire abc on LTF can be A of HTF ??? next to expect is B ??? or the waves now are not overlapping, we can count as wave 1 ... and it's gonna be wave 2 after 1 ??
p/s - was so excited just now monitoring the 5m cuz it looked like breaking the sub-structure ... however, did not happen !!!

altho hsi cash closed at 22000,the yearly gain for 2016 is less than 100 pts...i can in no way describe it as bullish.

most of the material i get on EW teach 12345ABC structure..but none talk about the ABC12345 structure.

according to the note,

"Targets for wave 1
The first wave, a new impulsive price movement, tends to stop at the base of the previous correction, which normally is the B wave. This often coincides with a 38.2% or a 61.8% retracement of the previous correction."

Base of B = 21594, thus, Wave 1 could have already done when it hit 21538 which is close to 0.618 of WaveC

now it's progressing wave 2.

major corrective B likely ended on nov 2016 at 1614.
current minor abc up targetting at 1671 by CNY if CI manage to cross over 1653.

ABC12345 structure ??? meaning that 12345 can be wave 1 or wave X for complex correction (if X is zigzag then the structure shud be 5-3-5 and thus the 1st 12345 !)
