Sapura Energy's proposed sale of its stake in unit SapuraOMV Upstream to TotalEnergies looks "fairly valued," BIMB Securities analyst Azim Faris Ab Rahim says in a note. TotalEnergies is buying the stake for $530 million. Despite Sapura Energy's financially distressed status, it managed to sell its stake in SapuraOMVwith a "non-distressed valuation," supported by high oil prices, he says. Sapura Energy may have to restructure its debt by at least MYR3 billion-MYR 4 billion to achieve sustainable capital structure, he adds. BIMB Securities maintains a trading buy on Sapura Energy and keeps its target price at MYR0.06. Shares are unchanged at MYR0.05. (yingxian.wong@wsj.com)

After OMV to settle part of the creditors agreement and left 8b debts according to the Edge article , within 8b debts only 4b needs for recapitalising through potentially swap shares or other capital options. The order book is increasing from 5b to 6.6b, the BIMB research house may be right of targeted share price 0.06 instead of 0.02 from RHB research house recommendation
