@anisbin, that cable project actually doesnt make any economy sense. Someone just syok sendiri. Johor or Batam Indonesia can easily offer something better. The cable drag so far, imagine you are walking in the middle of sea, suddenly trip on it. who going to pay?

In the late 1990's, the argument given why it was not feasible to sell electricity to Singapore then was transmission losses. I think nothing have changed since then
