@cgtan2020, Dear cgtan2020, I need a quick advise before market opens. Is it that KGB will fall first (due to the high net short), then it will reboud to new high.
@Ravi1969: Good to have an investor same like me regarding KGB-WB. Mr Ooi Teik Bee is holding both KGB and KGB-WB. He mentioned that he will include KGB-WB in the I3investor portfolio competition.
@ChloeTai Warrants usually follow mother shares movement. I can't really advised you to sell and buy back, my style is you should have multiple entry point, need to have reserved cash to pick up if you think it is a long term good buy. for example 2.20 is a hard resistance and it cannot break then, it might correct to 2.07 around mid of the EMA20, so with 1% premium, you can wait to collect the WB at 0.70. this is not 100% will happened, if you sell at 81 and want to buy back at 70, if it did not happened, you might missed the boat. A better bet will be with extra cash to buy lower if you think it will be good price before the warrant expired.
Dear ChloeTai, Look at all your postings, I believe your stock selection skill is very good. You only need perseverance and determination to win in KLSE. You have 50k of KGB-WB now, you can have 30k to keep as a longer term investment. You can use 20k of KGB-WB to trade. If you think the share price of KGB-WB is too high now, sell them (20k) and buy back later. Look at the technical chart, the strong support is at 0.71, buy back at 0.715. You can key in this order as "Good till done or GTD". If the share price of KGB-WB goes up further and cross 0.855, you need to buy back (20k) at 0.86 even at a loss. This is one of the method to trade. Please think about it. Thank you.
I have been a long time subscriber of Mr Ooi. I have only a few picks of his recommendation ie YTL, YTLPower and KGB-WB. No regrets buying at low levels last year on his recommendation. This year is to accumulate more KGB-WB

Posted by cgtan2020 > 25 seconds ago | Report Abuse Market is not easy to predict, the net short is 1Millions plus versus Total Share issued 647M. Let see how it is supported at 2.20 ----------------- Dear cgtan2020, Please show me the link to look at all short sell lists. I want to learn from you. Thank you.
1. It is very difficult to unearth for a fundamental stock that can perform extreme well in the last year of 2023
Example
The great fundamental stocks are ( i ) Y T L Power / 6742 52 WEEKS LOW RM 0.71 / HIGH RM 2.59 CLOSED 29 DECEMBER 2023 = RM 2.54 / GREAT CLOSING NEAR THE 52 WEEKS HIGH / RM 2.59
( ii ) Y T L/ 4677 52 weeks low RM __ 0.545 / high RM 1.96 Closed 29 December 2023 / RM 1.89 / Good performer as it closed near 52 weeks high
SEE_ Research does not have YTL POWER & Y T L FOR CLIENTS OR OWN SELF.
@calvintaneng go and read Mr Tan Teng Boo iCapital write up on KGB 10 Nov 2023, most of your so called doubt will be answered. calvintaneng versus Tan Teng Boo's iCapital. Subscriptions is only RM49 per annum.
Q3 2023 results of KGB EBIT = 123,667 EBIT margin = 7.9% Interest coverage = 11.6 Current ratio = 1.30 Quick ratio = 1.24 Borrowings = 218,409 Cash & Securities = 220,855 Net debt = -2,446 EV = 1,103,499 EV/EBIT = 8.92 Earning yield = 11.21% ROE = 28.27% ROIC = 41.41% CFFO = 163,025 Price to CFFO = 6.75 Cash Yield = 12.70%
I did go through the Q3 2023 report in great detail, I believe the FA of KGB is very good. Kenanga recommended the target price of KGB = 3.28 in 2024.
I do not simply listen to anyone, I did my analysis to cover all corners before I invest. I hope KGB is a good fundamental stock to invest based on my analysis. Thank you.
KGB Borrowings = 218,409 Cash & Securities = 220,855 Net debt = -2,446 To me, KGB is a net cash company. Even YTLPower is not a net cash company.
CFFO = 163,025 Free cash flow = 139,720 The aforesaid figures are good enough for me to know that there is a free cash flow in this company.
Not many companies listed in KLSE have such good figures.
I will stop here. I do not want to waste my time to argue. Winning an argument without facts and figures will not improve my cash amount in my bank account. Thank you.
@calvintaneng TTB's iCap invested RM18,486,573 3-4 years ago, today's market value it at RM70,343,030, that is 380% profit. Right call with the right amount purchase make a different. Time will tell he is right or you are right on KGB. For me it is a right call till now.
I dont think there is any problem with KGB liquidity. cash & bank 220 mil vs long term borrowing 56 mil. a/c receivable and contract assets 542 mil vs. a/c payables & contract liab. is 443 mil. Retained earning 202 mil
@calvintaneng what you are implying here is every company must do cash sales. If you choose this way, you don't get to do business anywhere. Nobody will deal you. There will be no loans disbursed by the banks too.
@calvintaneng brother, out of RM400M, RM354M is NOT YET DUE, when you have Revenue of 1.53B per annum, you will have higher receivables, as long as they are not due, you are ok. If you see RM400M over 6 months receivable, do you think the share price can keep moving up? The receivable is a rolling numbers, you received payment and you invoices for completion of works, so this RM400M will not be 2022 invoices. maybe a bit of bad debt, which stated as 12M.
@calvintaneng same case as in banks. Look at their liabilities. Under the balance sheet just in case you dont know.
Go take a basic course in accounting la. Not that much expensive also. At least you know something. Now totally zero. People like cgtan2020 and me educate you also don't understand..

their loans are backed by Solid Collateral in real assets like real estates or proven income with payslips of monthly cash salary esp from Johoreans earning in Sing dollar
as for Kgb ?
it is backed by Receivables of 18 months rolled over
@gohkimhock hahaha, I think uncle just don't trust the number by KGB management, external auditors. He just don't have faith in this KGB. Maybe because of the name, Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti. Time will tell. 2 years.
Calvin just reminds us the numbers kind of similar with Serbak bro claw back to 2018-2019 FA and contracts received then you will know btw, also read Serbak forum back in 2019-2010 u will see how similar people replied then and now may or may not be the same time will tells
@xiaoeh Serbak listed on Jan-2017, got flagged End 2018 or early 2019. KGB listed in 2009, show steady grow of business all these years, cash is reinvested in recurring income asset of LCO2 and gas supply onsite. It show management commitment to create more income stream. Net cash from 2018-2020, and 2022, data from Equities Trackers, 5 years Cash Flow analysis. 2018 to 2022, dividends paying. 1.8,2.0,1.5,1.5,2.5 cents. Time will tell. I don't know where he get the number of receivable rolling from 18 months old invoices, maybe he has people work inside KGB.
