I dun think the QR result will be so bad till push the price to RM4.80.. If back to RM5.00 consider very bad already.. and I also don't think he price will up to RM5.60 before QR.. it is too optimistic.. I think should be RM5.15 - RM5.40..

2 July tried to sustain atRM5.40 but dropped back... so means RM5.40 is very strong resistance... need to have enough bullets to push the price above this... technically I think strong support at RM5.15, strong resistance at RM5.40... this is the price will play around before QR.. I think in short term the price only can push over RM5.40 if the QR is extra outstanding.. my 2 cents opinion..

armadasaxon Last year around this time also drop to 5.20..towards dividend date it went to rm6.

I base on armadasaxon info, I searched till year 2016.. and I found some very interesting info to share... 2016 july 18, price dropped to lowest RM4.17, but up to RM4.90 when QR out.. 2017 july 17, price at lowest RM6.24, then up till RM7.08 on QR date, 2018july 9, price at lowest RM5.21, then up till RM6.19 on QR date... if this trend can be deployed this year, then I agreed with armadasaxon that the price might up to RM6.00...

fundamentally, maybank is stronger than CIMB, but in term of price appreciation I think CIMB has better opportunity.. Maybank already RM8.73. I believe it can go up till RM10.00.. CIMB now is RM5.14, but I think can go back to RM8.00, if their 2023 plans is really works..

armadas axon... belum collapse lagi... ini baru small drop.. just continue drop... for me collapse is the price drop 30% then only can consider..just like in april 2018 from highest 7.02 dropped till 4.98 in july... now the price almost there already.. therefore technically RM5.00 - RM5.05 should be a very strong support... kalau break then continue drop till RM4.80 for next support. waiting to see whether US will cut rates or not in next 2 days..

if US cut rates 0.5%, the market will shoot up tomorrow.. if only 0.25, it is expected... if no cut rate, then market will drop further..

US rate cut is certain to be 0.25%, wont be 50, market already take into account 25bp so if anything rate cut is not affecting cimb at all. Everyday 40-50-60m volume, its normal trading volume. But cimb is still falling, so what is driving the price down? Educated guess maybe retailers trying to preempt qtr result for 3rd qtr. Question is why is ppl expecting bad qtr?
