Some banks stock are worth buying including CIMB with low PE(about 10).

Ambank is very good undervalued counter as well with low PE, high div yield of more than 5%, and NTA of RM 5.48. Hope it will be target of M&A for bigger bank to take over. It is perhaps the only bank traded below NTA of RM 5.48 and share price of RM 4.33 with such a big gap.

both AMBANK and CIMB also good bank counters and now is undervalue

but I will more prefer CIMB because CIMB is much bigger than AMBANK

much bigger means CIMB will have some sort of competitive advantage over AMBANK

both share price now also below NTA and dividend yield also around 5%

but CIMB have much bigger revenue and profit if compare with AMBANK

This drop seems to be overreaction. Khazanah put out bond to fund something does not mean they dont think cimb is not performing. They just want to realise their holding in cimb now. Also bond is exchangeable and set to mature at 2024, which is in 5 years time. The way the counter drop as if tomorrow liquidating, this isnt deustche bank.

Higher chance of MAS easing monetary policy in Oct: Analysts

Singapore's central bank is increasingly likely to ease monetary policy at its semi-annual meeting in October in a bid to boost an export-reliant economy being choked by the US-China trade war, economists said yesterday.

Earlier yesterday, preliminary data showed that Singapore had annual growth of just 0.1 per cent in the second quarter, its slowest expansion in a decade and well below expectations - increasing the chances that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) will act.
