Just my opinion, I am using UOB, I do receive all my dividend online and on time. If you don't trade frequently, better use good broker but they may charge higher fee for better service.

If you have registered eDividend/iDividend, you should have received by yesterday or today, latest by tomorrow.
If you have not registered eDividend/iDividend, most probably, you will receive a check in the mail.
Check with your dealer, remisier, or broking/securities company immediately so you have peace of mind & sound sleep.
Trade with a more established securities/broking house even though commission is higher as your money is most important.

pbank or maybank div better? before covid time pbank can pay up more than 50cent div while maybank pay 50cent

@meistsk3134 On paper, MBB pays better dividend at 38.5 cts to PBB's 13 cts.

BUT, MBB is at $8+ while PBB is at $4+, so PBB is abt half-price/50% of MBB.

And liquidity-wise, you get 2 PBB shares to 1 MBB share. Furthermore, should you want to sell, you can sell 1 & keep 1. Easier entry for PBB share at only 50% price of MBB.

Price appreciation-wise, it looks like PBB can gain greater price momentum upwards in long-term.

Conclusion, I think there is greater profit potential in PBB in the long-term. This is not a buy or sell call.

Ask @AllYouCanBuy, he owns both shares.
Furthermore, he is an expert.

To know who pays better dividend, calculate the DY for PBB and MBB thru the years. MBB beats PBB every year.

Liquidity wise, there is no issue as you can sell 100 shares nowadays, not 1000 shares like those days.

BTW MBB paid 38.5 (final) plus 13.5 (interim) for FY2020 while PBB paid 13 sen for FY2020.

Please do some homework about dividend paid before commenting as you are misleading others.

My portfolio is 60% pbb 40% mbb. Pbb has more price appreciation than mbb over the same period of time. Mbb has slightly higher % dividend payout than pbb . Pbb has an average of 10% share price appreciation while mbb 5% per annum. (Please note that I bought pbb long before BI) .

Given the same allocation of fund, It is OBVIOUSLY more COST EFFECTIVE to buy pbb now (post BI at RM4+) than mbb (RM8+) . - - - - - - - - My conclusion is BUY PBB as your priority.

For the dividend, I am comparing the current (just past) PBB dividend & upcoming MBB dividend, not full year dividend.
I stated MBB pays better than PBB. You know how to read or not ?

As for liquidity, more shares for similar price makes it even easier to sell as one gets almost 2 to 1.
If you have 200 shares of PBB to 100 shares of MBB for $800+ it is common sense you have most options with more shares.
$8+ for 1 MBB share is equivalent to about 2 PBB shares. You know how to count or not ?

I mention that for more depth and advice,
ask @AllYouCanBuy as he knows much more and can provide very accurate info.

@AllYouCanBuy own both shares and his conclusion is PBB is preferable over MBB. PBB is more cost effective.

What I said and what you thought I said are 2 different things.

Rule number one for good dividend yield is low average price. Find any good dividend counters, collect at low........ My favourite is pbb.... Haha ha. Had a very bad experience with mbb transection last time, so just personal reason, don't want to buy their share.

@apprentice, you are right, Maybank pays better dividend over the years and resulted in a better dividend yield.
But, share market is not about dividend alone. People is looking at capital gain as well. If one were to compare, Pbbank definitely has better opportunity at capital gain which can sum up to more than 10% a year easily. The relatively richer valuations for Pbbank testify to that.
Pbbank pays 13 sen dividend this time was due to its very recent 4:1 bonus issue. Those who hold 1 share ends up having 5 shares now,
so if to compare, Pbbank actually pays 52 sen for the period.
