Not just bacause div things, most people rather to hold cheaper stocks. For elders, they hold pbb because of dividend but nowadays, expensive stocks hard to grow for capital gained, plus now no dividend. So, hold for what now?

When EPF sells, other funds will buy low. When the fund managers sell, EPF buys low. That's why we see up and down in the market besides external factors. It's cyclical. That's how the market operates. Ideally it means big funds, local, foreign or institutional taking turn to make profits.

If u look at today's trade details on Public Bank shares, the price was 17.86 at 04:44.59 pm. At 04:50:00 pm, the share price suddenly dropped by 23 bids, 46 sen dropped at Open Trade. Is Public Bank share price being manipulated in any way? Is this legal? Any one knowledgeable in this area?

Simply put, it's a big fish eats small fish world.

As long as we trade cautiously and study the stock, we should be making profits in the end. That's what we can't time the stock, we can only do our own study and decide on our own entry/exit price.

Same goes to all other speculative counters, but on higher risks.
