Rally just started and got people want to take profit. So sad. Why sell when stock going up? Sell when going down lah, not when going up. Imagine if sold or 'take profit' at 1.60 yesterday, today sure regret. Easily will go beyong RM2.00. My short term target price is 2.27. Long term can go to 3.26.

It depends on 3 things

1) If you are going in for contra play the chance is only 50/50.
Short term price could still go up due to more buyers joining us. Or it can also retrace as some decides to take profits. So short term it is only 50/50

2) If you can keep till Proton FSP (Foreign Strategic Partnership)'s news is announced, say by end June - chances more positive at 70/30

As all other Businesses of DRB are doing well - POS, Puspakom, Bank Maumalat, Deftech & etc getting Proton's troubles solved will add impetus to DRB. So 70/30

3) If you can buy and hold longer term - then your chance will go up to 90/10
All the Businesses of DRB have long term potential like Puspakom, POS and Bank Maumalat

So 50/50 for short term, 70/30 when FSP is announced & 90/10 if you are into value investing

I have a strict rule which I follow closely

"HE THAT IS LOW NEEDS FEAR NO FALL"

Always try to buy low. To buy low is when others are fearful and the stock is overlooked, misunderstood or neglected or even hated.

Once price runs away into euphoria better don't chase. Examples are IFCA at Rm1.87 & IwCity over Rm3.20.

For now DRB is still selling at deep discount of 47%. (Price now Rm1.68 while NTA at Rm3.14)

I think it means like this

1) Proton will sell less of Proton stake to Geely

2) Proton will sell a major stake in Lotus

So this has been Calvin's focus on what Geely wants. Geely already took over Volvo and made it a great success.

Now Geely wants LOTUS for its technology of building the world's first

Nothing is certain as yet.

It could be Proton - Geely - PSA triple parnerships!

Geely takes major part in Lotus to export to China while PSA takes Proton for export to ASEAN 10 Nations with no tariff barriers.

So think Win - Win & Win lah!

Volkwagen going into many parnerships also.

So it might be

Proton being sold to PSA

Lotus being sold to Geely

I think this play up is bec ppl speculate Najib can sign deal with geely.. but I don't think so..
