For 1,000 shares you get RM26.25 (taxed) for dividend at 3.5% and RM15.00 for 1.5% tax exempt, so one lot is RM41.25 x 30,000 = RM 1237.50

susuan, if i am not wrong, now 1 lot refer to 100 shares? therefore 30 lots should be referring to 30x100=3000 shares. Correct me if i am wrong.

Oh, I mean one lot = 1000 ie. 100 x 10. Many years ago, the share is quoted in 1 lot of 1000 units of shares. Now one lot equals 100 and we normally buy 10 to make it 1000. Sorry for the confusion, coz I belong to the old timers!
