I also called up the Registrar to check and someone there confirmed that the rights shares were also entitled to the 2 sen dividend. I am still not convinced unless the Registrar comes out officially with a clarification. Nevertheless, I will be subscribing for all my entitled rights shares.

Called & confirmed with Puan Hastini, the Share Registrar, that the Rights shares also entitled to the special dividend and there no 'A' shares when the right shares are listed ie. yes straight to mother shares !!!

Effectively it means = 1 ICUL worth 13 sen nominal value + 7 sen cash => 1 ordinary share

U can't say mother share too expensive just because it is higher than OR +21sen.There is always a little difference between these two.People who buy OR at 2sen and subcribe at 21 sen hope to make a profit.

Usually new shares are not entitled to the first dividend because money from Rights has not yet earned any profit.L&G wants to pay the dividend on OR shares just to make make the Rights more attractive.Alternatively they could have fixed the subscription at 19 sen instead of 21 sen.It is a bait similar to a fisherman's bait.Anyway I am accepting all my rights shares
