On July 19, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi disclosed that Malaysia received 9.48 million international tourists by May. If arrivals for the first five months are repeated over the next seven months, the total for the year will be 22.75 million.

During a media interview in early July, Tourism Malaysia director-general Manoharan Periasamy was reported to have said his key performance indicator is to welcome 27.4 million foreign tourists this year.

For Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VMY 2026), the targets are 35.6 million tourist arrivals.

In 2019, Tourist Arrivals to Malaysia rose to 26.1 million.

Not purely related to corporate governance issues; I think it is a question of when the tourism industry will fully recover. This implies that while tourism is improving, it may take some time to reach pre-pandemic levels. Genting Malaysia, as a laggard, has not yet fully recovered, but we can expect a full recovery by end of 2024.

Ridiculously undervalued, Genting PE only 12, imagine if it is at its usual PE before pandemic at 24. Genting's share price should be at least RM 8-9 ringgit.

Don't count eggs b4 they hatch. If TauRx is realised, it's a bonus but we don't know exit plan. One off sale or a golden goose to be milked for years to come. I'd say let it run it's course, now just look forward to improving QRs.

Not lies, I still think TauRx is just an illusion thing:

As I mentioned, I initiated a short position on the morning of 5 Aug, and the share price dropped rapidly (只能用完美风暴来形容). I have already bought back some shares and was considering covering the rest of my position. Since sifu Lamkin suggested the price might drop further, I decided to hold off and waited until the afternoon to cover all my remaining short positions. 算了吧！以你自以為是的性格，是不会明白的。
