Did you noticed, since BURSA suspend the IDSS, GKENT price has been steadily raised from RM0.49 to RM0.70?

long term TP : $1

Posted by Philip ( what you can learn from RJ MITTE ) > 2020-04-10 15:04 | Report Abuse

I was "chasing" it at rm1.02. I thought it was cheap then with share buybacks and 5% dividends, so as the price today is at 70 cents, with NOSH lower than when I bought it, and no projects cancelled, lrt3 and mrt2 and final claim from hospitals progress going smoothly now all cylinders running, I believe you can expect 20-25 million of earnings per quarter, as per 2017 prior to lrt3 project put on hold.

You can act on that information in any way you choose.

thks philip 4 ur insights but i'll like 2 pick on ur brains a bit further. yes its true lrt3 n mrt2 is not cancelled n both d projects r still running but wit tis covid 19, MCO, is there a likelihood dat d payments mayb delayed especially d emphasis n priority of d gomen is 2 ensure d 2 stimulus pakej of RM230b n RM10b respectively is implemented first n foremost rather than prioritize payments 2 gkent or for that matter to mrcb??? N in d event dat d payments r delayed then d projected earnings of RM20-25m may just remain as a pipe dream. My apology for being so "cheong hei" but im just another newbie. ur opinions r appreciated, tq.

Posted by Philip ( what you can learn from RJ MITTE ) > 2020-04-11 11:17 | Report Abuse

there is always a likelihood of anything happening. But I dont understandd the question, payment is guaranteed, so delayed or not gkent will be getting paid.

As I am a long term type of shareholders with a planned holding pattern of beyond 2024 (where lrt3 completion is expected, I dont see the point of your question.

If you are a short term investor, then the simple answer is I dont know if it will rain or shine tomorrow.

There is no way Gkent can go back to RM4. But I still feel that Gkent should worth RM1.60. Anyhow at current price, it is the best stock to invest with basically zero risks and best dividend return.

so I will know whether it will rain or not tomorrow

I3lurker if you look back at your last 5 pages of comments, you will quickly realize you have not given a single constructive comment other than bandying Troll remarks.

It would be good if you can actually spend time to talk about stocks that you actually holding or would buy.

Easy to be negative with everything and anything. But if you don't actually talk about buying stocks or stock valuation, what are you actually doing here???

Facebook is somewhere else.

Quarterly financial report only can be released after BOD meeting. Because of MCO no meeting allowed unless BOD can do zoom meeting.

Investing is a marathon, not a race.
If everyday they can buy back 100k shares, in a month they will buy back 3 million. In a year they can buy back 36 million shares. Don't
At nosh of 538 million shares, that is not a small thing, to increase your ownership by 10% without doing a single thing.

For me far better than dividends. If they announce a 1 cent dividend, I will have around rm68k+, which I can buy around 100k shares, which I can only increase my shareholdings by 1.47%.

So for me, I don't really worry about the share price except when I am in the market to buy more.

That is why you rarely hear me talk about share price this and that. I prefer to delve on the bigger things like if the company revenues and earnings are real, will it go bankrupt, what is the source of revenue in the next few years, how to replenish order book etc.

That is a far more pertinent and useful question, rather than asking why so many seller. Just be glad that the company is aggressively buying back shares. Some companies that are very "undervalued" don't even do SBB. And when the directors are questioned why they don't invest in their own company, thousands of excuses come up.

But on second thought shouldn’t Philip be even more grateful if no SBB and price free-fall to bottom so that he can use his margin finance to collect more Gkent?

Philip....you are very rich. Please use all your dividend money to buy more. I hope Gkent bosses doing the same.

Actually I am also waiting for my dividend money to buy more. Hopefully can get 2 %.

KIN FAI didnt bought new shares, but the reducing NOSH of GKENT due to SBB has made KIN FAI exposure raised from 4.76% to 5.04%

Posted by Philip ( Random Walk Theorist) > 2020-04-24 14:03 | Report Abuse

This is what happens when SBB occur, you can grow your ownership in the company without doing a single thing.

They have probably been a shareholder for quite a long while. And the share buy back scheme has pushed them into the limelight. They probably didnt buy a single share, but the buyback has increased their ownership of the company.

Neither good nor bad,

@K-Den,
But if Tan Sri Tan & Pn Sri owns Kin Fai, shouldn't it be specified in the Bursa announcements, since it's related to them?
But from the article, Kin Fai does belong to them.
