Inari closed up 16 sen? Insas has over 400 million Inari shares. 16 sen up means RM64 million gain to Insas.

It was low and safe enough to enter. Sometimes we have to take a bit of risk. When you buy something near the bottom there's absolutely nothing to worry.

Insas' shareholding in Inari has dipped below 20% for the first time. If Insas is not allowed to treat Inari as an associated company, accounting standards require it to recognize fair value gain on Inari shares resulting an instant gain of around RM800,000,000.

The disposal of Inari shares was deliberately done at end of September. If there is going to be a accounting policy change, the instant gain of RM800 million will be reflected in QR ending Sept 2017.

day of Sept'17.
Then qr result should be very good.(sell consider qr end on Sept'17)
Buy back on last day of Sept, then is for Oct.'17 (bcos Insas know Inari
still have bright future)

Yes on the 5 million but there was a sale of 200,000 a day prior to that which reduced its holding to below 20%.

Well, stock still got to run. But Malaysia is at risk. Not only election, now Sabah & Sarawak might want to split as well. Also, recent statement of Tun Mahathir regarding the Petroleum act which is unfair to Sabah&Sarawak, might be a killer blow to Najib. 1974 Prime Minister is Najib's father, who the unfair act passed. If BN not doing well in Sabah&Sarawak, pretty sure BN in troubles.

Good call "TheContrarian". I think it more an action to add more profit to the Group to help bolster next quarter result. It would be fabulous though if the unrealized profit of holding Inari could be declared.
