Inari as associate company did not contribute any revenue (Top line) but share of profit (bottom line)
Inari contributed to Insas Free cash flow by received of Dividend from Inari.

Insas shareholders, do correct me if i am wrong. Just a brief observation from data above. Insas's other businesses are making money in 2018/2019 of at least 40m on top of Inari dividends. However, 2020 and 2021, actually other businesses are losing money? About 20m losses in 2020 and actually worsen to more than 50m in 2021? If my observations are correct, then Insas's shareholders need to ask, whether the trend is temporary or long term? Eg. share broking deteriation in profit likely gonna be long term (brokerage as long as RM100 max for Rakuten. Broking house is making money not from brokerage nowaday)
Moving forward, Insas has any profitable business apart from Inari? If Inari is the only profitable investment, does it justify paying millions every year for overheads on operations?
Just my opinion for you to ponder

I just dun like Dome coffee.
Even if someone pays me RM1 million to drink Dome coffee, I will never ever step foot inside.

Concidentally Dome shops always have other coffee shops nearby like Starbucks and Coffee Bean

:)

So you can work out what will be share of profit and dividend received from Inari.

2. M&A Security Sdn Bhd: Stock broking and advisory services and underwritter for IPO, RI, PP and MGO/VGO

3. Insas credit and leasing legal ahlong with RM 250 million outstanding loans given to VVIP

4. Financial assets at fair value thro' profit and loss RM 227.65 million. Every quarter need to provide fair value gain/loss mark to market.

5. Investment holding and trading. Realized and unrealized gain/loss foreign currency deposits, bond, financial assets and disposal of shares in associate companies and etc.

6. Investment properties : RM 183 million. Rental and disposal income

7. Car rental business.

8. Share of profit from other associate companies beside inari: Hohup, DGSB, Melium, Winfields and others

9 . Bank deposits, cash and cash equivalents: RM 948.7 million. The question how, what and when Insas will employed this cash hoard for investment to generate more income.

KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): Insas Bhd, which is controlled by Datuk Seri Thong Kok Khee, has disposed of 13.5 million shares in Inari Amertron Bhd.

The shares were sold through several transactions, including via Insas’ wholly-owned unit Insas Technology Bhd, at prices ranging from RM1.68 to RM1.81 per share between June 30 and today, two separate filings showed.

Following the share disposal, Insas’ equity interest in Inari stands at 596.85 million shares or 18.37%. This has effectively slashed Thong’s indirect interest in Inari to 600.57 million shares or 18.48%.

Thong, who also serves as the non-executive director of Inari, owns a direct stake of 0.04% or 1.29 million shares in the company.

Inari’s share price closed unchanged at RM1.78 with 27.51 million units done. Its market capitalisation stood at RM5.78 billion.

Thats why Bursa always say listed vehicle must have good free floats mah!

Thong been an Esteemed Oxford Graduate, understood this principle, thats why funds like EPF & Kwap can owned more than 20% of Inari at the height bcos of the intelligent of Insas Mah!

No doubt Insas shareholding had been trimmed to below 15% but then Inari value insas is holding, now exceed Rm 2 billion or equivalent to Rm 2.80 value of inari... per insas share loh!

Successful companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Alphabet, Tesla and facebook, u can ask yourself how much the managing shareholder own leh ?
It is from 5% to 20% only mah!

For example Bill Gates hold less than 5% of microsoft, he is already the richest man in the world mah!

Thong being highly intelligent understand this principle mah!
It has grown Insas holding value in Inari from Rm 280m during listing to more than Rm 2 billion an astounding meteroic RISE loh!

If Insas will to distribute INARI (in which he is likely to do future} which has great value....all the insas shareholders will chak beh liaw loh!

When Insas shareholder will chak beh liaw ? No point keep talking about growing value. If share price cannot move up it is useless. As shareholder, what I own is the number of share X the share price. So what if NTA and Cash at bank keep rising ? It is not mine even if I own Insas share.
