I think there might be some supprise in coming result (not as good as what we expect) cause everyone expect the result to be good but price not moving. Maybe safer to buy some now and reserve some money to buy when the result is out.

Most likely share price wouldnt shoot up any time soon as BJcorp need to deliver consistence result for few quarters or maybe few years to gain back investor trust. What BJCorp is doing now to unlock the value is on the right track and just like what our friend 李嘉誠 is doing with his 長江實業. Once BJ corp able to gain back investor trust, the return in share price will not be 100% or 200 % but it will be 1000% or 2000 %. So just continue to accumulate when the price is weak.

Bjcorp LD have annual interest payout 5sen. If based on current price at 70sen (yield 7.1%), its seem too good to be true!!?? The LD tenure still valid for next 7 year, so that LD will cumulatively received total of 35sen until 2022.

However, bear in mind, bjcorp LD is exchangeable to bjcorp on 1:1 after payout lapse on 2022 . but, the cost of investment at present value for LD (70sen)is much higher than cost of investment in Bjcorp (42.5sen).

Therefore, if take into account current Bjcrop share at 42.5sen, and Bjcorp annual dividend of 1 sen, the intrinsic value for LD is about the same at present value compared to Bjcorp.

Present value for Bjcorp LD: 70sen - (future total 35sen interest) = 35sen
Present value for Bjcrop: 42.5sen - (future total 7sen dividend)= 35.5sen.

Alternatively, you could calculate the value based on current cost of investment to compare LD and bjcorp and their future interest/dividend income

Cost of investment to invest RM 700

Bjcorp LD = 1 share (70sen) + future 7 year total 35sen = total return on cost of investment is 35sen

Bjcorp = 1.65 share (42.5sen) + future 7 year total 7sen dividend = total return on cost of investment is 11.65sen

After 7 year lapse, LD have to exchange into bjcorp based on 1:1, and let assume bjcorp share price remain unchanged at current share price 42.5sen, a 7 year investment give rise to those invest in LD to received 42.5sen (1 LD = 1 Bjcorp) + 35sen (interest) = 77.5sen, implying net return just 7.5sen or (10.7%) for its RM 700 initial cost of investment .

On the other hand, those invest in Bjcorp, despite share price remain unchanged after 7 year, those invest in bjcorp will received total of 11.65sen, implying net return 16.6% for its RM 700 initial cost of investment.

The different between invest in LD compared to Bjcorp will be even greater if Bjcrop share trade at higher/lower than current share price after 7 year, take for example, if bjcorp share price trade at 70sen on 2022, those invest in LD now at 70sen will only net gain 35sen interest income (50% profit), compared to those invest in bjcorp to reap capital gain 45.4sen + 11.65 dividend income (81.5% profit)
