freetospeak, so unconditional mandatory offer now can achieve his goals? To achieve 90% with 30 cents offers seem like a dream? Then, what else TSVT is doing now

my guess is to table what's offered to VT to the rest of BJLand shareholders. Its easier to push through, but I could be wrong...

The easiest way fot vt to privatise bjland is to swap share with bjcorp...that way minority will gladly sell to him....coz they will participate in the future growth of bjcorp after privatising bjland...and not much cash required by him too...

Possibly syndicates are mopping up the shares and preparing to goreng goreng it knowing the shares floating in the market are limited less than 20% and TSVT wont sell his shares if he is intended to privatized BJLand.

My view is bjland operator is gaining back his control position. Beware for those newbie buying! You're welcome to sell back if price uprising.

Once the newbie buying exceeds the purpose, then the bottom fishing will begin or bigger picture, you're waiting TSVT mercy.

Some ppl said why TSVT don't have to take over bjland? The story begins when 20% bjland share bought from TSVT. Bjcorp paid
steep price for bjland share with none return. Somemore, the cost & capital stuck. Better use the money to settle the loan without wasting. Restructure is necessary.

Suspect the earlier selling is almost done by proxy share owners to fund the election campaign.
btw just wondering why Dimensional Fund Advisors LP a US based Investment firm suddently increase their stake to 19,846,999 BJland shares just recently? Is it because they know something is brewing?

Suspect something big is coming after election but definitely not privatisation...

Btw Since VT's direct shares in BJLand didn't increase at all even after 6 months of share purchase from November 2017 - April 2018?

16/11 (1.37% direct shares)
27/4 (1.37% direct shares)

Vingroup acquires two mammoth projects from Berjaya

Leading multi-functional conglomerate Vingroup has recently acquired two projects from Malaysian Berjaya Corporation which have been delayed for a long time.

Vinhomes, Vietnam's leading real estate management company and the property management arm of Vingroup, has completed the purchase of 97.7 per cent stake in Berjaya Vietnam International University Township One Member LLC from Malaysia’s Berjaya Corporation.

This VND11.75 trillion ($515.6 million) deal aims to acquire the long-delayed Vietnam International University Township (VIUT) project.

After the VUIT acquisition, Vinhomes also finished its capital contribution of more than VND2 trillion ($89 million) to Vietnam Berjaya Financial Centre this March, acquiring 67.5 per cent from the investing company of this project.

Located in District 10 of Ho Chi Minh City, the $930-million Vietnam Financial Centre was proposed to have five 48-storey buildings with a total of 600,000sq.m of floor space. It has also been delayed for many years. The site is now used as a parking lot for nearby restaurants.

On top of the rm 2.4 billion from vietnam + rm 500 million from great mall, don't forget the other RM2.27 billion sales from BJland Malaysia projects and BJland 0nly worth only RM1.35 billion?

1. BJland unbilled sales (means haven't been recorded in BJland account yet) as of 31/12/17 RM1.3 billion
2. Ritz-Carlton RM1.21 billion (GDV) for 288 units, out which 188 units already sold left only 100 units worth RM650 million
3. Link 2 (4 shops) worth RM70 million
4. The Peak, Ampang - 15 bungalow lots worth RM100 million
5. Kensinton Gardens, Penang - 24 bungalow lots worth RM100 million

That's why there should be something big coming after election?

BJland owns the land for Ritz-Carlton Residences and responsible for its sales, Wangsa Tegap subsidiary of BJcorp only contractor for the project..the 188 units of "Unbilled Sales" (RM1.3 billion?) are sold to different high networth individuals so there should be188 different S&Ps and not only one deal...

Something big is definitely coming after Election but don't think VT is after privatization as not really of much benefit to him since he is already in control of BJland using a pyramid structure of cross shareholdings, actually VT's effective ownership interest in BJland is only 2.25%?, for a bigger picture see the maths below:

For the 10 months period between 14/6/17 to 27/4/18, BJcorp after buying so much BJland shares, it's direct interest still remained at 3.84% while indirect interest actually decreased by 2.17% (this is not like the action of a company going to privatize BJland?, it's more likely the earlier sell down was a distribution of BJland shares by Proxy share owners to raise funds for the Election?

BJcorp (27/4/18):
Direct interest in Bjland is 3.84%
Indirect interest in BJland is 69.1%
Total interest is 72.94%

BJcorp (14/6/17):
Direct interest in BJland is 3.84%
Indirect interest in BJland is 71.27%
Total interest is 75.11%

VT direct interest in BJland is 1.37% as of 27/4/18
BJcorp direct interest in BJland is 3.84% while the balance of 69.1% are actually indirect/deemed interest (as of 27/4/18)
VT direct interest in BJcorp is 22.85% as of 23/4/18

So, VT's effective ownership interest in BJland is, 1.37% + (22.85% x 3.84%) = 1.37% + 0.87744% = 2.25%

That's why VT's is agressively buying more shares under his own name to increase his effective ownership interest in BJland in order to enjoy more benefits from the monetization of Vietnam & Malaysia land, since the share price is still low if you have extra reserves you can't go wrong by following VT closely behind..

For examples on what is direct interest, effective ownership interestand deemed/indirect interest refer link below:

Overall, bjcorp is weaker, if you are TSVT , you wish to see mother of all Berjaya affected? Only one thing I believed, He is collecting bjcorp share with many practices
. Bjland ,definitely bjcorp duty to undertake.
