Fundamentals will catch up with it. It will tank any moment without warning.

High energy cost will destroy economy recovery and without economy recovery people will have less money to spend, travel, invest and etc.
The good balance is for crude oil at USD75 - 100 per barrel and crack spread between USD 15 -25 per barrel.

the spike we see on diesel crack from 18$/brl early march to 38$/brl by end of Mar 22' could also explain the derivative loss in Q1 which wont repeat in Q2 as long as it does not shoot up further by 20$/brl suddenly by end of June

the gross profit will reflect the margin without the derivative effects

on the other hand if it reverts to 18$/brl there will be a derivative gain

i see gross margin appears to be lagging by at least a month period on their financial report vs crack spread chart

THE ART OF STOCK MANIPULATION

I know la whats going on. Now i spell it out for you.

Friday, operator bought. Monday, operator continue to buy and pushed it up 6.30++ to 6.70 anticipating confidently that qr to be released that evening wud be very2 good n wanted to push n goreng it sky high the next day.

Unfortunately, the results was bad causing at 70 cent gap down at open yesterday.

Instead of letting go his shares at some losses, this operator doubled down by mopping more shares at 6.00 to 6.25, i.e. averaging down.

Unfortunately again, broad market sentiment has turned quiet and negative with markedly lower volume across the board.

So now this operator ended up with many ugly babies unable to con people and sell them away. (Stucked holding a lot of shares in a quiet market)

His average cost i believe is around 6.30++

Go for Petron lah! At least got good corp governance & it pays at least 20 sen div mah!

Btw...Petron also makes more money than hengyuan...what talking u leh ?

@stockraider, quite disappointing to see your worthless comments (likely confusing newbies) despite being an old experienced investor in HY in 2017.

As i had detailed many times you must see HY as a refinery processing 10.7 million barrels per quarter whereas PetronM refinery at less than 1/4 of HY capacity, i.e about 2.5 m barrels. Reason being PetronM is a simple refinery which produces more than 30% Fuel Oil with crack spread hitting negative - 15 USD/brl .

Without Hengyuan (the HEAD) share price rising, do not expect PetronM ( the TAIL) to perform, unless if PetronM had raised it retails sales volume significantly.

As a matured investor you should know this better

That will sustained Petron share price steadily mah!

If u go for hengyuan....today make money....tomorrow may also lose big mah!

Most importantly hengyuan never pays u any div loh!

Imagine....Hengyuan Contract of supplies run out....what will happen to hengyuan refinery leh ?

China even use cheap quality Ural russian Crude of USD 80 which already have a cost advantage of at least usd 35 or 41% cheaper mah!

But Ccp is fighting each other within. You will probably have more uncertainties in different region of China. Hence buying more ural crude doesn’t mean it can get converted to refined products and to be exported
