By then, all palm trees in all region are reaping fruits where supply is expected to be more than demand .unless the war is still ongoing , the re-production of sunflower oil is posting a threat to cpo

To prepare seedings and young plants already about 6 months minimum. Thereafter start to fruit from 3 years onwards. Between 4th and 5th year, the palm trees will bear fruits that are very small and oil extraction rate will be very very low. Even at the 5th year after planting the sound palm on ground, the planter cannot breakeven.

it is not a matter of replanting new palm tree or what .

The recent low supply is due to the expected low yield of fruits for lack of maintenance care after planting . Due to the pathetic CPO price during prolonged pandemic spell, many planters ( except for the sizable planters) were stricken with cashflows problems and decided to either reduce or abort the use of fertilisers hence directly and significantly affecting the yield.

But the scenario has changed by now . With sufficient care, the yield is expected to be double in abundance in months to come....

It is still early days for JTIASA. Due to their large matured area of 69,589 hectares, 92% of the areas is in prime phase. This will provide optimal FFB yield in the current high cpo prices. Hold tightly to benefit from the big run ahead for this wonderful stock, cheers.

India ,the largest importer of palm oil ,has cancelled substantial order for they cannot afford to buy the palm oil at the current escalating price.

If stocks fall solely due to threat of Nuclear war, buy the dip
1)If Nuclear war doesn't happen then you make some handsome profits
2)If Nuclear war happens then you won't need any money

So the nuclear war is imminent, the best strategy is to liquidate your portfolio fast and keep the cash?

It could be a false alarm....

Crop conditions are suffering in Argentina. According to the Buenos Aires Exchange report that updated March 3, good-to-excellent ratings were a scant 25% for soybeans and 21% for corn. Ratings have been below 40% for both crops since mid-January, despite some decent showers that occurred in late January.

https://www.dtnpf.com/agriculture/web/ag/blogs/south-america-calling/blog-post/2022/03/03/break-la-nina-dryness-argentina

Just my opinion. Unlike palm oil, if farmer are planting soy and corn alternately, any weather disturbance that delay planting and weather will affect their harvest and quality, which also affect the next cycle, hence palm oil offer more predictable output (if there's no labour shortage). Also Palm tree took 3+ years to grow before harvest, tree will develop higher immunity towards weather compare to soy and corn.

Soybeans for shelling and fresh use are ready for harvest 45 to 65 days after sowing. Dry soybeans require 100 or more days to reach harvest. Soybeans reach maturity at the same time; pull the whole plant and hang it upside down to dry. Shell dry beans once the pods are fully dry.

As seen,it doesn't take a long time for harvesting as compared to palm oil.

Fcpo at $8,000 which is the MOST expensive edible oil is simply not sustainable and it is largely due to speculative factors . Bursa derivative raised trading deposit by 20% on last Friday to dampen speculative activities which has resulted major price correction. CPO will find its level competitive to other key edible oil which I think is $6,500 -$6,800 in the near term .

Bear in mind the midsize and small plantations who sell their crop on spot month achieved average selling price of $4,300 to $4,500 in FY2021 and they made record high profits. At $6,500, their earnings for this year is going to be explosive.
So, don?t panic for what happened on Friday

Sunflowers grow quickly. Many can achieve up to 12 feet of growth in only 3 months. With the proper growing conditions, sunflowers should reach maturity in 70 to 100 days after planting.

As such,it doesn't take long for sunflowers oil for harvesting as compared to palm oil

Ukraine is war torn, farmers have fled the country, situation will take a long time to normalize. Edible oil ?shortage? already push price high even before the war. The war has simply make it worse

seed oil growth and harvest is way faster than Palm oil, provided the farmer doesn't miss the timing.
its faster and easier to set up a roadside stall than a proper restaurant, but at a mercy of weather.

The cease fire collapse, Russia continue to attack despite cease fire. Lucky enough, US is seriously considering moving its Mig jets from Poland to Ukraine. Yup, with Mig, the tanks jamming at 40 miles better reverse.

CPO price moves up to RM6500/tonne and soybeans price also moves up to challenge historic high. How come the plantation stocks are not moving up as well.

In my conclusion, others are more stable than this
