Excellent question.

Hope the promoter will be generous to share.

[Perhaps, the price today has priced in all the good news. (?)]

There is an expert in plantation stock that was invited by i3 to deliver his talk (which was recently cancelled) in this forum. From 2016 to 2019, looks like he misread the whole plantation sector business. How good is he?

CPO as commodity price will be up and down due to supply and demand equilibrium, hence no one can give an accurate TP for jayatiasa.

What you need to do is just monitoring the MPOB CPO spot price and the monthly production of jayatiasa FFB to estimate the EPS of jayatiasa next quarter result.

Benchmarking is a yardstick to predict the fair price. But, of course, people like i think, i guess to avoid trouble of cracking head or learning further.

In 2016, calvintaneng exclaimed Jayatiasa was undervalued. His target price was RM 2.50. Jayatiasa was trading at 1.10+. Even when Jayatiasa went up to 1.47, he told everyone here he bought some. The obvious reason being, by his valuation, Jayatiasa was severely undervalued and he being a value investor with an eagle eye for bargains, had spotted this big bargain in Jayatiasa.

Those who were influenced by his rhetoric also realised that he disappeared and stopped posting in Jayatiasa when the price kept going lower and lower. Inverting our observations. Was the market wrong or was calvintaneng wrong? The price dropped to 40+ sen and in Dec 2019, it spiked to 80 sen+. Mr. Calvin reappeared, asking those with Jayatiasa to sell and to reinvest into NFCP related stocks. 😀 Very soon after, the price of Jayatiasa dropped from 80 sen+ to a low of 33 sen.

Would you be comfortable with calvintaneng's stock call, especially when he mentioned 1.10+ was a bargain and then he sold or asked people to sell at 80 sen + , presumably because it was not cheap or overpriced. Either he was bullshitting here with his posts or he did not know what he was doing. Whatever it was, he ain't humble.

@Calvintaneng, can you appraise and compare critically TSH vs Kretam? (Why Kretam cannot reach TSH price?)

Posted by Integrity. Intelligent. Industrious. 3iii (iiinvestsmart)$€£¥ > 2024-03-10 15:19 | Report Abuse

Just pointing out that calvintaneng promoted JTiasa as a bargain at MYR 1.1+ and MYR 1.40+ in 2016; and advised selling it at MYR 0.80 in 2019.

These are facts too. 😀

It was obvious that calvinaneng made a mistake in 2016. Sure, all of us do make mistakes too.

Others were excluded due to

1. Too pricey like Klk and Batu Kawan

2. Not that many acres above 100,000 acres

So we kept to these 4 although 10 were chosen

1. Bplant. Not for earnings as its trees were 40% old
We chose bplant for its gold 🥇 mine lands

True enough Ltat took it private at Rm1.55

We chose Jtiasa for its strong turnaround factor
Now proven true in its balance sheet of cash rich and strong 25% to 30% earnings

Next two still on the way
Thplant (another asset play)
Tsh ( going debt free very soon like jtiasa)

All these were mispriced 2nd liners sold as bargain penny stocks

Things are constantly changing and evolving all the time as life is never constant

Take a good look at your garden if you got one

The trees, plants, shrubs, grass, weeds in the garden is not the same after 10 years

So is an oil palm company

Jtiasa trees were 4 years old when Uncle Kyy rose helicopter to survey jtiasa vast lands ( confirmed by Jtiasa current secretary)

In year 2016 jtiasa trees still young at year 6 so not that much Ffb
Latest in Annual Report and Qtr report

Jaya Tiasa average age of its old palm = 14 years

Prime fruitful age

In that light we shall see 11 more very good years till age 25 before Jtiasa needs replanting and expense
As such Jtiasa will see very strong Cash inflow

Reason No One
1. No more need to repay bank loan

Reason No 2
No further expense to do new planting ( fully planted to the maximum)
Or replanting (trees still relatively young)

All these virtuous factors very benign for investing at a very correct timing
And this Fong Siling aka saw with "Cold Eye" and sturdy heart and hand
He loaded up 10 million Jaya Tiasa shares

3 years ago we studied all 43 palm oil listed companies and chosen these top 10
1. Bplant (220,000 acres)
2. Thplant (240,000 ac)
3. Jaya Tiasa (206,000)
4. Tsh (200,000 acres)
5. simeplant (over 1 mil)
6. Fgv
7. Ioi corp
8. Taann
9. Sop
10. Hs plant
All above got 200,000 acres except Hs plant (only 99,500 acres)
So Kretam, Mhc plant, cepateawasan, and others though also good were x

Thanks Calvin for sharing your study

From Jayatiasa AGM key matters discussed:
Our existing policy is to pay a minimum dividend of 20% of net profit subject to not compromising the Group's ability to support its pursuit for long-term growth. However, that will not restrict declaration of dividend of more than 20%. With improvement in financial position and market condition, the dividend payout will increase accordingly.

Old KonYY had evil intentions when he promote Jtiasa in 2014 above 2.50 & Subur in 2022 above 2.00 [MO as usual of buying quietly much lower & selling to greater fools by promoting; luckily KARMA got him back when he lost $3 mil in Sendai in 2018 & $64 mil in JAKS in the same year👍]. Too bad(for him) that I thwarted his ill will by holding resolutely & patiently, averaging @ 60+c & now seeing a capital gain after many dividends patiently received!

@calvintaneng

When compare Jtiasa to others such as SOP , UTDPLANT, THPLANT, asides from CPO production, should we also factor in their potential land value when transform to non-agri-land?
As I am aware, Jtiasa most CPO is at Pulau Bruit, Dont think it can be turn into a commercial town or something.

Next quarterly eps will be seasonally below 2sen or thereabout. Some are afraid of that and have taken profits. As I attach a fair value of RM1.80 at least, I will add on weakness. Good luck.

Took a casual at JT's b/s...Despite paying off a 78m loan and an aquisition of 52m and interest pmt of 10m, its end of yr cash improved from 167.8m to 264m, total loans and liabilities improved from 497m to 477m and tot equity improved from1377.8m to 1510.5m.. Tot cpo output have declined quite a bit this quarter but average selling has gone up... I may be wrong in my assessment...but things looks ok to me over the mid to log term..to hold

Sense Maker

Current price below already reflected those more cautious .

But year 2024 Jtiasa is no longer the same jtiasa like before

It is now debt free cash rich position like Utd Plant and Inno

And both Utd plant and Inno will also see similar reduced harvest

People are still chasing up Utd plant over Rm24.00

Overall we SEE

UTD PLANT = 155,800 ACRES 🌴

JTIASA = 206,000 ACRES
OUT OF WHICH 171,000 ACRES 🌴 PRIME FRUITFUL AGE

calvintaneng

56,703 posts

Posted by calvintaneng > 2024-03-11 11:33 | Report Abuse

The race ahead between Jtiasa versus Utd plant

1. Utd plant land limited to 155,800 acres

Jtiasa full prime age 14 is 171,000 acres

2. Utd plant has dedicted train track

Jtiasa has helicopter to coordinate overall

2. Utd plant also on MAXIMUM POTENTIAL

Jtiasa now tell ffb harvesters to work overtime

Work hour = 6am to 2pm or 8 hours

By extending overtime work after 2pm to 6pm is extra 4 hours

So 4 hours divide by 8 hours is extra 33%

That is reflected in Jtiasa producing more than 30% extra Ffb YoY

So jtiasa now Rm1.45 while Rm24.18 real time

There will be vast room for jtiasa to move up

If Jtiasa BOD will follow Utd Plant by increasing dividend payout

It started with a good 2.5 sen dividend
With cash positive position plus high cash inflow we can expect more generous dividend to come

So this price level of Rm1.45 will not last for long

Someone definitely has a touch of manic euphoria. Have JTiasa catch up with TaAnn in governance, transparency and stakeholders trust before taking on the redoubtable UtdPlt. Their current gap is wider than the Pacific Ocean.
