don't get me wrong. nothing to congrats or proud of for 2 cents of profit, some more over few months of suspension.. opportunities cost.. i should have bought more mieco..
those i bought prior suspension was at 59 cents.. that was to punt for the news i heard. now have sold some after averaged, hold awhile longer to see what's really happening.
i think as investors have to always be flexible. nothing is fix. even TP and entry price. esp unrealistic price.
And for those with vested interests, I fully understand how traumatising it must have been over the last 2 months....
The weekend before the trading halt caused me enough sleepless nights, NOT Sweet Dreams... to know that a 6-7 cents profit today is not worth my valuable time.
If the counter is really that good, staying on the sidelines for a few more days will do you no harm. As what will go up will keep going up... and likewise when heading south (Just the speed is faster)
We ain't gonna get rich with 100k to 200k shares of this counter.
Masteel transactions for one of my 4 trading platforms...
Total Quantity Bought 408000 Total Value Bought 394,729.650 Total Quantity Sold 408000 Total Value Sold 274,433.910 Net Quantity 0 Net Amount Received ($) (120,295.740)
It is painful, but we play what we can afford to lose without losing sleep :D
In order to show the auditors and special auditors the trade receivables were recoverable..... Masteel, regardless of whether it needed the goods or not... had most likely pressured the customers/suppliers to send in the goods to contra their debts... and the suppliers gladly obliged in view that prices were falling... End result trade receivables dropped... inventories up when prices dropping... and.... no cash received
Recap... there were dubious deals where traders just ordered but never closed the deals... and ended up Masteel paying penalty... Auditors said these were financing arrangements.... Anyway point is it looks like Masteel needed cash.... No cash.
It is very likely Masteel is facing cashflow problem.... and the dividend payment is rather misguided
Must check if Masteel has the capability to get loans.... else high inventories when prices are dropping and no profit are not the only problems
Reminder: There are always positive announcements... but price keep dropping
ks55 is right, the new rolling mill will boost revenue if there are corresponding sales of the steel... isn't it not?
does it means that if MH keep buying planes, it means revenue will keep rising?? guys, dun get suck in a spiral black hole...
if you can make money, fellow investors will be happy. at the moment, everyone is groping in the dark... patience, wait for clear and substantive news, dun play on hope, not in a counter that has been disappointing...
it has proven so far, the falling knife is still falling...
There is dividend coming next month. Those selling at huge loss(5 years low price) is desperate and not smart. Tai dare to convert warrants recently meaning long term outlook for Masteel remain good.
According to an electrical contractor. Their factory electronic system is an 20 years plus old technology. Non of them dare to do unless fully rebuilt.just sharing.. not advise in buy or sell
Asset play stock(NTA RM2.36). Wonder if Masteel manage to sell all its land how much does it worth? Masteel own a lot of land in Klang and Petaling Jaya base on 2014 annual report. Market capitalisation(MC) only RM 119 million.
